I don't understand why these so called directors end movies like this. It just makes you angry you go through all the boring stuff and then they end it like that wow

When I sat down to watch "Let's Scare Julie", I must admit that I had not heard about the movie, but after having read the synopsis I did expect a bit more from the movie than what it actually turned out to be.

First of all, the storyline as concocted by writer and director Jud Cremata just wasn't interesting enough. It actually felt like the writing was done at random, because the movie was a bit all over the place. And when the movie came to an end, I must say that I was left with an overwhelming sensation of having wasted my time with watching this fairly incoherent mess of a storyline.

And it didn't really help the movie much that the events that took place throughout the prolonged playing was of little or no interest, much less having any particular feel of thrill or dread to it. So as a horror/thriller then "Let's Scare Julie" was anything but scary. Perhaps adding a "not" into the title would be more accurate; "Let's Not Scare Julie".

The acting in the movie was actually fair enough, but the actresses were severely limited in their performances given the weak script and storyline, and also the fact that the characters were rather bland and bordering on being pointless.

I managed to sit through this 2020 movie, but I wasn't entertained by what transpired on the screen. My rating of "Let's Scare Julie" is based mostly on the production level of the movie and to some extend the performances. My rating lands on a mere three out of ten stars. This movie was not worth the time or effort really, if I have to be blunt. So writer and director failed to deliver a movie that caught my attention, much less entertain me.

If you are looking for a horror movie or anything low budget I would still recommend watch literally anything else But I'm just one guy with one opinion Watch at your own risk or for something to help you go to sleep

Not only was this movie boring, it was pointless. The storyline made absolutely zero sense. The girls "trying to hide" with the phone lights turned on bright... just a waste of a movie. Didi mention pointless? Would NOT recommend.

Wow this was just atrocious. The acting was bad, the story was horrid and the so called one shot camera gimmick was beyond exhausting and bad. You will fall fast asleep by the 25 min mark. Save your time. AVOID!!!

Do not watch this movie. The camera work is seriously just someone running after this girl; none of it makes any sense. It's as if high school students slept through their media class and then on the last day the teacher assigns them a project that they have to film in one night. Seriously, just do not watch.

75% of the film is teenage girls being annoying, 24.9% is people walking in house doing nothing and .1% is some white ghost or spirit coming at the end for a non-resolution.. Even more fun, we don't see what happen to anyone (if something happened to the girls who went to the house, the hell if I know?).

Big waste of time... zero is impossible so I'll set for a 1/10

Seriously, this one is BAD! beyond BAD!! The ending is by far the one of the worst since 2012's god awful The Devil Inside. This level of embarrassment should have never been made. The plot and storyline goes nowhere. The actors feel like they were found via Facebook Marketplace. I know it's Halloween and we all feel obliged to watch anything remotely cool and scary but believe all the bad reviews on here and AVOID THIS LIKE MISS RONA!

So, there is supposedly something scary or supernatural happening. Except that nothing really happens. People disappear, a body is found, and everyone is obnoxious. Are teenagers really this gross to each other and yet still be friends? Are adults this drunk all the time? Why is this movie considered horror when it isn't even scary? The lead actress is decent in her acting, hence the 2 star rating. That's about it. Don't watch otherwise.

People are too critical! It's a horror and not a bad one either. Acting was good and in my opinion it was a well thought out movie with a unique style. Also not your typical I have seen this before a thousand times. I would recommend!

This one is hard to rate. Cinematically it looks good, supposedly shot in one take. The sound/music work well and is pretty effective. The story is what is lacking here. If you can get past the almost unnecessary mean girl dialogue, this story is suspenseful, but with little or no payoff. Tension does build throughout, but then the story suddenly ends.

Someone owes me 12 bucks, I only paid 6 but I feel that I deserve an additional 6 for wasting a portion of my life watching this. There's no real plot best i could tell and there are tons of unanswered questions. I must also confirm as another reviewer stated, I did indeed nod off during this movie.... closer to 20 minutes in but still called it.

Jud Cremata wrote and directed probably one of the worst horror movies I've seen...and I've seen almost every horror movie. Cremata's filmography is mediocre and unimpressive. The score was annoying because it basically tells you when something was going to happen. The camera work was literally all over the place. The story was all over the place. And I could tell Cremata has no experience in writing scripts because for the first 20-25 mins I couldn't make out the dialogue because everyone was talking over each other.

Only two of the main actresses I know from Netflix shows I've seen recently (On My Block & Grand Army), and they did an awesome job. I don't know what this is or how they got involved with such a bland, tasteless film like this, but let me just say don't watch this.

Honestly thought it was intriguing and suspenseful. Not a very scary movie but more of a thriller. Thought it was cool how it was shot in one take. I would recommend watching it.

This Is Good Movie...To Me, The Plot Was Stimulating, The Acting Was Great, It Just Didn't Have The Blood And Gore That So Many Movie Viewers Like Seeing, That's The Only Reason That I Can Think Of For The Negative Reviews...Horror Movies Are Supposed To Scare You And If Blood And Gore Scares People In a Movie, I Would Hate To See What It Does To Them In Real Life...REALLY!

This movie is awful. I was going to say the acting is horrible, but it's not. The actresses did their job. They were supposed to be obnoxious teens, and they nailed that... you actually really dislike them.

The movie? The writing? The "plot"? THAT is what sucks. The cinematic part may be considered good. But, people need to stop with the "it was done in one shot" thing. WHO CARES IF IT'S DONE IN ONE SHOT IF IT SUCKS?!

The movie sucks. Watch if you want to... just don't expect anything spectacular.
