Good directing, good acting specially Navid Mohammadzadeh , good music, Hooman Behmanesh's cinematography is amazing, location is great. but, screenplay is not good and it's a big problem. at the end watching this movie worth it.

I watched this movie after watching a disappointing Iranian movie, and I wasn't expecting much. But it hooked me since the very beginning. Great actors, amazing screenplay, and believable locations. I recommend this to all cinema lovers.

Some aspects of the movie are fascinating, like the color arrangement or locations... But because of some points, the total result is not fine enough: The script is too imperfect to be attached with audiences deeply. The personages are too colorless and unidentified, the music is not accompanied with rhythm, as the rhythm is not so remarkable... The romantic atmosphere is so meaningless and spoiled without any background or strength. Acts are so generalized without any individualized with personages, like what we watched in Navid Mohammadzadeh: the way of his talking or looking or acting is as similar as his acting in other movies. The Warden is not good enough to be archived but it is worth to be watched just for once!

This is a perfect movie. good directing, good acting, amazing story and the best ending ...

I liked everything about this movie. Good story development but from the middle towards the end they show the prison boss who makes smart assumptions, fooling around a woman. It's not realistic to lose it all for a woman on duty. The ending was absolute rubbish. It doesn't hurt to watch it though. Navid MohammadZadeh nails it again. I wish it had a better ending.

Good acting by the protagonist. Not clear and weak ending though!

As always, Navid Mohamadzade is the star of the movie, but i think it is not special movies ,every thing is simple and normal.I think the script was good for a short film, not suitable for a cinema movies.

"The Warden" is a Drama - Mystery movie in which we watch a major and his officers searching for an inmate who was lost during the evacuation of a prison. They have to find him as soon as possible because the prison is going to be demolished.

I liked this movie because it had a simple but interesting plot that contained some plot twists I did not expect and made it even more interesting. The direction which was made by Nima Javidi was very good and he presented very well his main characters and the way he presented and explained the plot through the duration of his film was very interesting. The interpretation of Navid Mohammadzadeh who played as Major Jahed was very good and he made the difference in this movie. All in all, I have to say that "The Warden" is a nice mystery movie and I recommend you to watch it because I am sure you will enjoy it.

It's not waste of time but definitely not 7.5 rated film. Lately, watching Iranian films and unfortunately most of them is victim of nationality. What does it mean? People rated this films are generally Persian. That's why comments and rates are not much objectives. You can watch "the warden"without getting bored and also it not deserve 5 but I gave it for balancing.

Watched this movie just when I had started losing hope in Persian movies , and this fantastic movie turned everything around! Definitely worth watching more than once! Amazing cast, thrilling story, can't wait for more thrillers!

If you're to look for good movies, you should watch this! Movie. In my opinion it is the best movie that has ever made in entire history of persian cinema. I'm a persian and watched most of all famous persian movies but I didn't like them because since my childhood I've been watching Hollywood movies. However, this one, I'm really interested in. Nevertheless, it deserved a better ending.

This movie was beyond my expectations - in fact, IMHO it is one of the best movies in the history of Iranian cinema. Everything is just great. The story is pretty complex at multiple levels, but the narrative makes very attractive; simple to follow and easy to absorb by covering the right amount of details and the right sequence of the events. And importantly, no dragging in answering the questions it raises and no open ending! On the contrary, the ending is solid and very well-presented. Choice of actors is really good. Izadyar and Mohammadzadeh deliver great chemistry. Performanes are really good - Navid Mohammadzadeh truly shines. I consider his performance among the best performances I have ever seen in the Iranian cinema. Izadyar plays well and her dress is well designed too. Music is really good and used precisely where it must be used. Overall, the movie has all the elements of a great drama and a great movie. Kudos to the story/script writers, director, actors, and all others who participated in producing such an enjoyable well-made watch - real art with no exaggeration; deep psychology, no show-offs; just an very pleasant and shockingly attractive combination of art and skills. A movie to remember. Congrats to the talented group!

Considering the fabulous and unparalleled plot, I should admit that Navid Mohammadzadeh and Prinaz Izadyar's way of acting was unique. Besides, it was one of the very iranian films in mohammad reza shah's era that didn't focus on the kingdom and illustrating it as if the king were the devil! It was about a warden who has been given a chance to enhance his degree and inspite of all his happiness, a prisoner called " Ahmad Sorkhpust" runs away from the prison and now the warden is in trouble!

After The Past, by Farhadi, I havent seen a good iranian movie. The screens, musics, act, story was extremely fabulous, breifly its the cinema.

One of the best examples of late Iranian movies with impressive cinematography using a nice colour palette and lighting quite unusual for Iranian cinema. Coupled with good acting by major characters, the successfully studied screenplay has a touch of Hitchcock which keeps the mystery of how it will unfold until the end. Using animal metaphors of frog, dog and cat is engrossing...

The main actor is perfect, and the story is good. best film I watched in 2019

The story and tempo was boring while we see decent acting specially by Navid Mohammadzadeh. Ending was mere tosh which makes you say " what a waste of time!"

Awesome awesome awesome we saw this movie two times and enjoyed each time...
