Lindsay, Ezekiel, Tyler, Justin, and Eva are the only contestants from "Total Drama Island" to not appear in "Total DramaRama."
A good handful of episodes have titles that are a play on songs. Glove Glove Me Do is a pun on the Beatles song, Love Me Do, Total Eclipse Of The Fart is an obvious play on Total Eclipse Of The Heart, and So Mutt Ado About Owen is a play on the lyric 'So Much Ado About Nothing' from the Queen song, All Dead All Dead.
The show was under production as of December 19, 2017 under the title Total Drama Daycare.
On February 13, 2019, the series was green lit for a second season. On June 23, 2020, Corus Entertainment announced that the series was renewed for a third season, set to premiere in Canada in mid-year 2021. Revenge of the Island contestant, Lightning, and Pahkitew Island contestant, Sugar, are set to be aged down to join the cast.
