Although Hallmark’s Countdown To Christmas adventure movie The Christmas Quest is not premiering until Sunday, December 1, there are already hints that the Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha movie will get a sequel. This is an Indiana Jones–Romancing The Stone type of movie that lends itself to more.
What does this Hallmark dream team say about that possibility and where would they like to film next?

Kristoffer Polaha was preparing for his latest Hallmark rom-com before he even got the role. In A Winning Team, premiering on Saturday, March 18, he plays a coach who clashes with a professional soccer player, Emily (Nadia Hatta), who accidentally injures him then steps in to help lead the team (including her niece) to the playoffs. And, of course, along the way they just (will) find love. Polaha previews the film, including why it came at the perfect time. For all the Hallmark movies you’ve done, there aren’t as many non-Christmas rom-coms on the list as I expected. What drew you to this one? Kristoffer Polaha: Honestly, it was the timing. It was perfect timing for me to get to work. And you’re right, I haven’t done a lot of non-Christmas movies other than the mysteries. I think it was Dater’s Handbook and Pearl in Paradise, right?...

Kristoffer Polaha has been a staple on the small screen since 2001, starring in such series as “Life Unexpected,” “Backstrom” and “Condor.” More recently he joined the Hallmark family with holiday movies (“Rocky Mountain Christmas”) and mysteries (“Pearl in Paradise”) and going forward will add even more of films to his plate. This month he can be seen in the Tim Tebow-produced “Run the Race” and next year he will boast being a part of Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 1984.”
What drew you to “Run the Race”?
The call came two years ago. This movie was made back in the fall of 2016 and the director is a guy named Chris Dowling who directed “Where Hope Grows” [which I starred in in 2014]. He called me up and said, “Hey, we have a last minute thing, can you come and pinch hit for us?” And I said, “Of course I can.” My son just loves Tim Tebow...
