Fleabag and Stranger Things star Brett Gelman is to lead Entitled, a Showtime/Channel 4 series about an American widower who must get to know his British wife’s estranged family in their crumbling gothic mansion in the English countryside.

Airing next year, Gelman will play Gabe in the eight-part series from the BBC’s Mister Winner creator Matt Morgan, which is being exec produced by the team behind Fleabag, in which Gelman played Martin.

Co-produced between the U.S. network and British pubcaster in association with All3Media International, the show, in which Gabe’s wife’s family compete for his affections and newly inherited fortune, will begin shooting in Manchester shortly.

The show is is “led by an undeniable creative team at the center of a funny, suspenseful and surprisingly emotional comedy,” according to Amy Israel, Executive Vice President, Global Programming, Showtime Networks.

“Stranger Things” actor Brett Gelman is set to star in “Entitled,” a half-hour comedy series ordered at Showtime in the U.S. and Channel 4 in the U.K.

Created by Matt Morgan, the show follows Gabe (Gelman), an American widower who must get to know his British wife’s estranged family. In their crumbling gothic mansion in the English countryside, they compete for his affections — and his newly inherited fortune.

A co-production between Showtime and Channel 4 in association with All3Media International, “Entitled” is executive produced by Morgan and Gelman, along with Harry Williams, Jack Williams and Sarah Hammond of Two Brothers Pictures, the producers behind “Fleabag,” which Gelman was featured on alongside creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Tim Kirby is directing the eight-episode first season of the show and also executive producing.

Production on “Entitled” is set to begin in Manchester, England, in August. Showtime and Channel 4 are targeting a 2023 premiere for the series.

Rob Delaney (“Catastrophe”) and Alice Eve (“Belgravia”) have joined the cast of Amazon Studios’ upcoming drama thriller “The Power” as recurring guest stars.

Edwina Findley (“Treme”), Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (“The Queen’s Gambit”) and Simbi Ajikawo (“Top Boy”) also feature in the cast as recurring guest stars alongside series regulars Zrinka Cvitešić (“London Spy”), Archie Rush (“Black Mirror”) and Gerrison Machado (“Prank”) and Pietra Castro (“Jingle Bell Bride”).

Erin Kellyman, Cailee Spaeny, and Ellie Bamber are negotiating to star in the “Willow” series at Disney Plus, Variety has confirmed.

Details on the characters the three would play are being kept under wraps. The show will take place years after the original and will introduce new characters to the world originally established in the 1988 film.

Kellyman previously appeared in the Lucasfilm release “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” Her other credits include the recent BBC miniseries take on “Les Misérables” along with shows like “Life” and “Don’t Forget the Driver.” She is repped by CAA and Curtis Brown Group.

The premium cabler today announced today a series order for The Baby, a darkly comic horror series from debut screenwriter Siân Robins-Grace.

The HBO and Sky co-production is co-created by Robins-Grace and Lucy Gaymer and produced by Sister and Proverbial Pictures.

"The Baby is a funny, raw examination of motherhood as an institution: a set of unspoken rules that affect women differently depending on how they’re viewed by society," according to the official logline.

John Leguizamo and seven more actors have been added to the cast of Amazon’s feminist sci-fi series “The Power,” head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke announced during the Television Critics Association press tour Tuesday.

Other cast members joining previously announced stars Leslie Mann and Auli’i Cravalho on the 10-part global thriller series, which is based on Naomi Alderman’s novel of the same name, include Toheeb Jimoh, Ria Zmitrowicz, Halle Bush, Heather Agyepong, Nico Hiraga and Daniela Vega.

“The Power,” which goes into production in February, takes place in a world where all teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people and then find out they can awaken this ability in older women, according to Amazon.

Pennyworth’s Anna Chancellor and Outlander’s James Fleet have joined the cast of BBC America’s The Watch, based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels.

The pair are the latest actors to join the BBC Studios and Narrativia-produced series, joining lead Richard Dormer.

Chancellor stars as Lord Vetinari, The Patrician of Ankh-Morpork, and architect of the city’s normalized wrongness and ramshackle system of governance, while Fleet stars as The Archchancellor, wizard, magical advisor, and the Head of the Unseen University.

Set in the fictional city of Ankh-Morpork, where crime has been legalized, The Watch is a “punk rock” drama. The eight-part series centers on a group of misfit cops as they rise up from decades of helplessness to save their corrupt city from catastrophe.

Dormer stars as Sam Vimes, Captain of The Watch, disempowered by a broken society that’s reduced his department’s jurisdiction to almost nothing, in the eight-part series, which is co-produced by BBC Studios and Narrativia, the production company founded by Pratchett in 2012 and now run with Pratchett’s daughter Rhianna and his former business manager Rob Wilkins.
