Rory is talking to Arthur in Arthur's office. The view through the window shows St Paul's Cathedral in London seen from the east. In the 1980s, when the film is set, the only building which afforded this view was the National Westminster (Nat West) Tower - now called Tower 42 - which, at the time was London's tallest building and a prestigious business address. This location is confirmed when there is a glimpse, also from Arthur's office, of the building's distinct facade, and again when Rory walks past the Royal Exchange and the camera tilts up to focus on the building.
Carrie Coon's husband is playwright and actor Tracy Letts. He was very impressed with Sean Durkin's film which many have compared to a really good play.
