This was a great movie idea, something different for a change. I think many towns used to have events just like this (I know ours did) - to raise money for charities - while we had the pleasure of viewing all of the creative tree designs. Designing and decorating the trees, for a worthwhile cause, was a fun but meaningful concept.
Rachel, the little girl, was 'wise' beyond her years. For someone in the hospital, she was so bubbly and outspoken. She talked SO fast, but she was hilarious and really made the movie.
I can't stand elite snobs, especially ones who take credit for someone else's idea(s). But that rich biatch and her two sidekicks had their parts down pat.
Overall a fun movie with challenging ideas, but a great outcome.

A wonderful blend of holiday happiness, romance, comedy and a touch of Karma. I found myself moving between laughter, sympathy, anticipation and ultimately satisfaction - all imbued with just the right amount of holiday cheer. I could almost smell the scent of pine in the air from the Christmas trees, and felt my teeth gritting in unison with a few of the character's moments.
The plot was simple, easy to follow, a bit predictable (in a good way) with great scene transitions and solid acting. The young lady who played Rachel has a big future ahead of her if she stays in the biz. And the rest of the cast nailed their roles as well.
All in all, a great, well-written, feel-good holiday movie that was as satisfying as a delicious cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day.
