Just enjoyed the film. We rarely seen movies with kid explore the space. Hope to see the kid grow up in the next film.

If you or your kids like Wall E you will probably like this
The visuals and animations are amazing, I love the creature designs, there are not many space exploration stories for kids out there and this is certainly a nice one.

A boy gets lost, finds friends, and grows up.
Definitely aimed at children around 10 years old. At 90 minutes it's not too long, it's a nice story, and the animation is quite good.

Despite being a grown adult, and this clearly being a kids movie; I definitely enjoyed this film.
The animation and graphics incorporated into this film is simply amazing, and completely enjoyable to watch. Although the plot is a bit simple, there was never a moment of boredom throughout the entire film. Starting from the beginning, the film caught my attention and held it all through to the end. I could clearly see this film was well thought out with specific elements carefully placed with smooth transitions between important parts.
The characters within the film stood out, with well animated facial expressions and humor in the right places. The progression allowed me to develop a viewer-character bond, encouraging and stimulating emotions throughout the film - especially towards the end, when the main characters separated.
This is a perfect, heart-warming film that can be watched with the whole family. Lots of creativity went into this film and the artistic nature of the scenery, characters and colorful combinations will draw your entire family in, no matter the age. Definitely recommend it!

Go see this when you feel depressed, it will make you feel good.
Beautifully made, great designed somewhat imitated by Starwars if you pay attention yet it's still a delight to watch.

After my 3rd child was born I looked online for everything and found this movie my then 1 yrs old was hooked on this movie and still loves it at almost 3. She calls it Buck with her baby talk it's not a good word.
You will be put into space watching a kid grow up even more and learn ing to servive with his robot on another planet. There are so many funny and cute tasks that the two are needing to do. This movie can help parents teach their kids a few servial skills even for earth. Explore a whole world with Will, Buck, and Flash.

Music is almost not used at a narrative level.
The rhythm sometimes becomes too slow and dilated, especially at the end.

I watched this at the cinema with my three children, aged 8, 10 and 12, and all enjoyed it, which I guess is the most important thing.
Visually, the movie is inventive, colorful, and the interesting 'creatures' were highlighted by all my kids as the best part. It's also nice to watch an animation not straight out of one of the big Hollywood studios, though it didn't look that different compared with some of the more interesting animations out there.
Having watched it in English, it's possible some of the awkward dialogue resulted from translation, though the voice actors are fine. What is really surprising is the complete lack of any story or plot whatsoever. It's almost like there was no story-boarding done at all at the start of the film, I'm surprised something could get a green-light without at least some form of plot (even if it's a poor one). Overall a wasted opportunity given the obvious money and creativity that went into the films animation.

Amazing graphics: very colorful once the Astro Kid begins exploring the planet with his robot. I enjoy a good story in any genre and this one is not bad at all.
This movie is just so good. Honestly I had really good expectations for this movie and they fulfilled them. I love animation and this movie is just so well made, it's honestly just gorgeous. The saturated colours and the unique environment it's a work of art! The planet is so well thought out, everything has a purpose in the world and you don't really expect that from a kid movie. But let's talk about the story, I think it's great. I mean it won't be full of drama and such but it's a child movie of course it won't it does not need to. The best part of the film is the emotional decision of the main character and how he understand the world step by step. There are real emotional challenges in the movie and that makes it so good for children because they can learn from it. I am a grow man just turned eighteen not so long ago and if I can enjoy it I think anyone who likes animated movies can! Lovely movie! I would recommend!

This is actually a really good kids movie that an adult can enjoy. It's worth much more than the score it has received.
Very good storyline, just the right amount of humour, action, suspence and mystery.
It has borrowed themes from several other movies yet it's unique in its own right.
Well worth to see. My 5yr old daughter can't wait for me to buy it on DVD and watch number 2 when / if its released.

My son is two and a half and this is his favorite movie. We watch the German version (5 times so far) and the voices are done really well. It looks pretty, the story is simple but cute and there is a good mix of action and fun. The only real downside for me is the music but obviously my kid does not care about that. Of course, this movie cannot compete with the likes of Wall-E, Up, Monsters, Inc, Toy Story etc. but it is perfect for kids who are too young to follow a more complex story. I hope there will be a sequel...because I want to see it.

Just Wow! We watched this movie with the whole family. We were totally pleasantly surprised. Just the day before we watched 'The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild'. But this movie was so much better! Not only the storyline was better, but the special effects and camera views where literally out of this world.
So refreshing to see this one of a kind animation movie. We absolutely loved it! They should have done more marketing and promotion for this movie. I was glad that we found this little gem of a movie! Hats of to the animators of this movie!

Terra Willy is an intelligent and beautifully animated movie. Although it takes place on an unknown planet the lessons that boy Willy learns are easily transferrable to any jungle with unknown plants and creatures. The vegetation on the planet is of stunning detail and beautifully shot, there is a lot to discover. The scenes of problem solving and playing fun games are well balanced. Being separated from his parents Willy must also learn some social skills. The music is mostly subtle in the background. At the end of Willy's training he will use all that he has learnt in a short fight action scene, full of unexpected turns. Most of the movie is a discovery and survival training. It is easily comprehensible and fun to watch. Despite all the hazards it is a feelgood view suitable for all ages. There are many good lessons to learn from this French animation.

It's amazing. First I watched the movie in Spanish and hate it due to the leading role. Then I watched it again with the original audio in French and I loved the movie. Hence, listen to the original it can change everything. It's mainly because in Spanish Willy is unbearable. Everything else is great, I loved the colors, designs, the production itself. Sure, the premise is weak but totally bearable.

Really sweet
This movie was super cute, sweet, and clean. There was a tad of potty humor but not nearly as much as other movies these days. The rock monsters might be a little scary for sensitive little ones but they are tame compared to most monsters. There was a little sadness but overall this movie was upbeat and beautiful with a message of friendship, loyalty, and hope. LOVED IT James Welch Henderson, Arkansas 12/14/2020
I don't understand the other reviews on here that talk about it missing a story line. Either they fell asleep or just lack basic comprehension. The story line was great- I would write a summary of it but you should take the time to watch it for yourself.

The setting was cool and vibrant. The characters endearing. The plot kept my attention and was well written. My kids and I enjoyed the film very much!
A refreshing change to see a French 3D adventure animated film. Based in space and on an unknown planet, Willy is a natural born explorer as he encounters all sorts of cool alien creatures ranging from small to very large. The character/creature styles are fairly simple but well designed and nicely rendered, and the animation is smooth and fun. Not sure if there's a dubbed version for kids, but I'd recommend the native French language because it sounds cool.

I just watched the film i am 27 yrs old and loved it very good for kids to or anyone who likes this sort of film. But this reminds me of a VR game called - Robinson: The Journey - but anyway i doubt they will but i hope they make a sequel for this.
My son and I really like this movie, we have rewatched it a couple of times already. It's a simple story about a boy, that adapts and grows from the trials life throws at him. There's a lot of actions with great animations, but it also have depth with a lot of character development. It is easy to understand for kids.
Unlike most newer movies it is not filled with political messages. It is a story for the sake of the story, and it do deliver. It's very much worth a watch!
It is a movie that is for all ages. It's a safe movie for any kid to watch, it can get a little scary, but it's mostly a very comfortable movie. Even adults can find enjoyment in the progress of the boy and his companions and the emotions he goes through.

My three year old will watch this over and over. Space exploration. Colorful animation. Creative communication. I really hope whoever put this all together creates a sequel! Or a series. So amazing. We watch at least once a day. Survival, creativity, compassion, imagination. All in one. Wonderful. Even as an adult! The fantasy aspect included into the unexplored planet really make it pop with magic that is as realistic as it can be. I again state the creative minds behind this went above and beyond to make this movie vibrant and amazing. It has been an ongoing joy in our lives. Especially my sons.
