The character of Director Peachfuzz is an updated version of Captain Peter "Wrong Way" Peachfuzz from the original series. Whereas Captain Peachfuzz was a befuddled government agent (and also a white male), Director Peachfuzz is a more intense character (and also a black female).
Tara Strong who voices Rocky in this series and June Foray the original voice of Rocky previously worked on an episode of Les supers nanas (1998) called I See A Funny Cartoon In Your Future along with Tom Kenny the voice of The Mayor and The Narrator Both Foray and Kenny later worked on the short film Rocky and Bullwinkle (2014) for their second and last time before Foray's death in July 2017.
