Identity Crisis!

Paralleling a plotline in the film, Anne Giafferi's One Role For Two, suffers from not being able to decide where its interests truly lie. It's dramatic content is slight, briefly focusing on the difficulties middle-aged actresses may face in securing quality roles. And the humour we might expect to see from a near - identical twin sister, being hired to secretly substitute for her famous actress sister, is distinctly underwhelming and largely insignificant.

The movie's only real selling point is star Mathilde Seigner, who does do a sterling job playing the sisters, with two quite contrasting personalities. But the narrative's lack of direction and consistent tone results in a 98 minute film feeling like its running time has dragged out over two hours. This is a disappointing film, that will only fleetingly impact on your memory at best.

A nice little movie that you only need to see once.

A decent French film that'll get a few chuckles here and there. Good acting and a good story that you only need to enjoy once.

Not bad, not good.

Although this movie is nothing out of the ordinary, it's a nice French comedy thanks to Mathilde Seigner, François-Xavier Demaison, Arié Elmaleh, Marie-Anne Chazel and ... Mathilde Seigner again.

Sweet and sensitive comedy!

It is surprising, that this film has such a low rating. It's a sweet and sensitive comedy, full of unexpected turns. All characters and situations reviling deep issues with very delicate sense of humor and kindness. We applaud the director , operator and actors. We enjoyed the film, and we appreciate every minute of it!
