It’s official! The film adaptation of author Colleen Hoover’s novel Reminders of Him has found its director by way of Englishwoman Vanessa Caswill. This will be the second big screen adaptation of a Hoover book following this year's It Ends with Us, which – despite being mired in controversy – went on to earn more than $350 million at the box office.

Variety reports that Caswill has been tapped to direct Reminders of Him, which has yet to find its leads, but has set a release date of Feb. 16, 2026. Caswill’s most recent directorial effort was the 2023 Netflix hit Love at First Sight, based on the book The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith. The film was greeted warmly by both fans and critics, and is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 76%, with its Popcornmeter sitting slightly higher at 82%.

Netflix on Tuesday unveiled four new Italian originals – two feature films and two series – that confirm its continued investment in Italy as local subscribers grow. The new projects also bolster the fact that the bulk of the streamer’s Italian productions are not high end and have a primarily local focus.

During a Rome presentation Eleonora Andreatta – affectionately known as Tinny – who is Netflix’s VP of Italian originals, said that Netflix remains “committed to our investment in Italy and Italian stories with conviction, continuing our long-term commitment to the country and its creative community.”

During the first episode of the “Glee”–recap podcast “And That’s What You Really Missed”, hosted by the show’s former stars and New Directions members Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang), shocking revelations about what could have been for the beloved musical comedy-drama series were made.

While speaking with guest Ryan Murphy, the “Glee” creator revealed that the original pilot script, penned by Ian Brennan, was a lot darker and creepier than the episode that appeared on fans’ television screens back in March 2015 when the first episode aired.

“Mr. Schue, I believe, was a crystal-meth addict in Ian’s script,” Murphy shared. “The Nc-17 version of show choir with a weird protagonist who was unraveling.

Quentin Tarantino has named seven “unassailable” movies.

The director appeared on Thursday’s episode (27 October) of Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his newly released book Cinema Speculation.

In his book – which is described as part-memoir, part-Hollywood history, and part-film theory – Tarantino writes that there are “very few perfect movies” but that Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of them.

The slasher film directed by Tobe Hooper has become a cult classic since its release in 1974.

Asked by host Jimmy Kimmel what other films he considers to be “perfect”, Tarantino replied: “Well, there’s not many of them – that just bemoans that the film art form is hard.”

Kanye West is accusing Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Foxx of taking his idea for a music video and using it for their award-winning movie, “Django Unchained”.

The rapper made the claims in a new interview with Piers Morgan that was released on Saturday, Oct. 22.

“Tarantino can write a movie about slavery where – actually him and Jamie, they got the idea from me,” West alleged, during the latest episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored”.

The video for “Gold Digger” was released in 2012, while “Django Unchained” came out in 2012.

After less than seven minutes in a heated interview between Kanye “Ye” West and Piers Morgan on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” the rapper made claims that director Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Foxx “got the idea” for the concept of their 2012 film “Django Unchained” from him.

West — who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021 — said he pitched a similar idea when initially brainstorming the music video for his 2005 song “Gold Digger,” which features Foxx. Ye released the official music video in 2005, which centers on a montage of Foxx and Ye dancing with various pin-up models. The final product bears little resemblance to “Django Unchained,” but that didn’t stop the rapper from claiming the film’s plot was his idea.

Kanye West continues to make the rounds in conservative media circles following his antisemitic comments. The rapper has now landed with Piers Morgan and claims Django Unchained was his idea and had originally pitched the story to director Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Foxx.

Amidst the “Gold Digger” rapper’s recent return to Instagram, the rapper took a moment to clarify some of his past tweets, claiming that he didn’t write many of them.

In the now-deleted post, West’s caption reads: “This was not from me someone copied my style of text and wrote something not funny. I know you guys gonna be disappointed, but I actually didn’t write the tweet that said, ‘Friends wasn’t funny either.’

“But I wish I had. I’d love to know who thought of that.”

In an unusual coming together between two traditional rivals, BBC Studios and ITV Studios have signed a pact to co-produce dramas for the Indian market.

The first-of-its-kind deal will involve the two companies adapting four ITV Studios dramas: Gold Digger, Sticks and Stones, Trauma, and 35 Days. BBC Studios will also explore remakes in the regional markets of Tamil and Telugu.

BBC Studios India has a track record of getting projects away in the country. It has adapted Criminal Justice and Doctor Foster for Disney-owned streamer Hotstar, while it is also working on an Indian version of Idris Elba series Luther.
