Summary
Reviewers say 'Undone' delves into mental illness, spirituality, and time travel, creating a complex narrative. The unique rotoscoping animation style garners mixed reactions, though it's often praised for its distinctiveness. Characters, especially Rosa Salazar's Alma, are lauded for their depth and relatability. The storytelling's ambiguity allows for varied interpretations of Alma's experiences, making it thought-provoking and emotionally resonant for some. However, critiques arise regarding pacing and animation effectiveness. Overall, 'Undone' is viewed as a compelling, unconventional exploration of personal healing and self-acceptance.

Find your sweet spot - At first I wasn't sure where to look, then by the third episode I focused on the eyes and the animation took in a whole new dimension By that time the story line was enough; I was thoroughly immersed .
I recommend
I stumbled upon the trailer for this (experience) a while ago , It got my attention though I thought they are using the rotoscoping technique as a gimmick and boy, I was wrong.
The series is an out-of-this-world experience , you are sailing through the vast ocean of the protagonist's mind , It's like an astral projection and the rotoscoping technique gives it a fluid like way of moving and sailing through existence and un-existence , dreams and reality, all accompanied by an exquisitely beautiful and ethereal score that reminded me of the late James Horner's score for (A Beautiful Mind) ... I really can't find the proper words to describe the beauty of it. The casting was perfect , the script and the build-up were amazing , This is a piece of art that deserves more credit ,
And It has some of the trippiest and most beautiful sequences ever made.
A must see.

Yes this show is touching, fascinating, bold, different. But these sorts of descriptions put me off watching it, because I am a very shallow person and generally avoid things described as 'profound', 'thought-provoking', 'moving' etc. What I realise having watched the first season and just starting the second, is that it is fun. Fun fun fun! Funny, fast-moving, addictive fun. This really should be said more, because it might help the show reach emotionally immature people like myself.
Well written and beautifully done. Each character is strongly written and the story is compelling. Life, death, and whatever may fall in between. If you're looking for something different, this is it, and more!
If you've ever suffered mental illness, felt alone, let others down, felt uncomfortable, made others feel uncomfortable, or questioned your reality, this is for you.
Kate Purdy as the series creator, deserves how beautifully her story has been told.
Rosa Salazar once again proves how deserving she has of her massive cult following.
