A Christmas Monstrosity

Parker's hilarious holiday flick flirts with going too far but never does. Over-the-top performances (in a good way) fuel a plot that, honestly, isn't all that important. What matters is giving in to the insanity, sitting down and just enjoying some time with the kind of neighbors you wouldn't want but wouldn't be able to stop checking up on.

A Christmas Monstrosity is not your typical Christmas movie that one has become familiar with. No spoilers here. If you are looking for a small town USA, clean living, feel good movie... this isn't it. Thank goodness for a different take on this time of the year. For one, it takes place in a trailer park where the residents are an amalgam of all sorts. From the cat lady to the landlord and everyone in between, the characters are certainly characters with a snow beast added for good measure. Rhonda Parker, playing dual roles, is the standout in this movie.
