First season 10/10! second season 0/10. The first season is really amazing and tells a beautiful story, with lovely, well developed characters. The show went downhill since the first episode of the second season though, and not only is it just not good anymore, but I feel like the second season ruined the whole show for me. Highly suggest just watching the 1st season, even though it ends on a cliffhanger.

This is by far the best turkish series Ive ever seen. (BTW maybe more than 10 series). while it shows the real facts about women discrimination, you will enjoy a true love!

Well crafted is the fair definition for the first season. The care for details. The beautiful storytelling. The splendid cinematography. The wise use of ordinary social problem- the abuse against woman- , in the right terms. Romance and thrill and tension and lovely landscapes and the expected story. Sure, this is the first season. The second is not bad or good but it seems be created as duty for the expectation of the public. It can be defined as modest but the effort of actors for save the fragile story is admirable. The only problem - like a fairy tale, the words after its end are too much.

It was one of my favorite shows until Erkan came and ruined everything the storyline and script became so boring and repetitive
This series just got me through a week and a half on the pandemic. I could not stop watching it. I am in NYC now and on quarentine needing an escape. The story and the acting is extraordinary. I won't give away the story but I will say that it covers abuse of all kinds, survival, strength in women, strength in family, wonderful example of the warmth and depth and beauty in the Muslim faith. There is education of the Muslim faith and although there are some sexist aspects, this series depicted the women as vital and strong and the heros. The women were as righteous as the men in their beliefs in the religion. Their spirtual leader was a wonderful granpa who kept tying the spirit of the foundation together. Taihir and Nephes have the most beautiful love story I have seen so far in the Turkish series ( I have seen 10 so far ) . This is a story that is about faith and love and family and the strength of women surviving abuse. I am a psychologist who has devoted my life to helping survivors find their paths of love and sucess and happiness in their lifes. This series moved my heart so many times. Thank you to all the actors and film makers - thank you for this special wonderful testement to LOVE.

I love this series, and at the same time I hate it. I love the plot, I love the professionalism of the actors, I adore the soundtrack, I am head over hills with the scenery and amazing Trabzon landscapes, I am intrigued with the story concept, but...
But at times the way thney tell this story, the way they make it unfold makes me sick with anger - I hate illogical, stupid, idiotic things and decisions, and at times the characters of this series just can't live without doing so. I understand, it's all commerce and the attempt to make each episode longer to show more ads, and I respect that, but so many other TV series manage to do that without falling into the endless pit of total absurd and stupidity. I think the Episode 24 of this series (the third one in the season 2) has tro be shown to all the screenplay writers in the world to teach them HOW NOT TO WRITE SCREENPLAYS UNLESS YOU HAVE NO RERSPECT FOR THE VIEWERS AND WANT TO SINK YOUR SERIES. Facepalm may times (((
Still I give the overall show 6 stars because most of the 1st season and many episods form the rest of the show are good and sometimes even great.

Wow. I recently finished SAK and it's become my favorite Turkish dizi ever. This show has such a special place in my heart and like most of these reviews, I have never seen a dizi like this one before. It's not just a romantic drama but teaches you so much about domestic violence, abusive relationships and how poorly women are treated even today. I recommend this show 11/10! Both leading actors are amazing! Ulas who plays Tahir is the type of man every woman deserves. Irem who plays Nefes was mindblowing! She deserves all the awards. Thank you for the cast crew and writers for creating such a masterpiece! It has touched my heart beyond words.

From the first episode the series catches you, we see a young woman with her little son held captive in an impressive mansion where she is watched all the time by her alienated and powerful husband who treats her violently. One night when the businessman organizes a business dinner, she and her son find the opportunity to escape by hiding in the trunk of the guests' truck, from then on a complicated romance will begin with the owner of a sand company and both must face all kinds of obstacles to move forward with their love story. The series is plagued with great suspense that grows as the story progresses. It is striking how impeccable the photography is even with underwater shots of superlative quality. The development of each of the characters is outstanding. For my taste, the third season is too much, with two it would have been enough since, given the impossibility of generating new situations for the protagonists, the writers were forced to incorporate new characters and the story had an unnecessary change of course for what the original story was. Season three shows its protagonist Nefes assisting other victims of abuse with characteristics similar to those suffered by her, with a new villain, the story continues to be interesting but off the hook from what the first two seasons were. It should be noted how Turkey has managed to conquer international markets with first-rate productions.
