About 15 minutes into this movie I began to wonder if I'd make it through the entire thing. It felt very amateurish and the acting and dialogue left much to be desired. But interestingly enough, it had a strange charm to it that kept me interested through the entire movie. I think it was so over the top and clunky that I liked it. It was average for a TV movie, even though it was a bit predictable.

It's interesting how a mediocre script can be saved by the acting of a single star. Patty McCormack is brilliant in her golden years and is as scary as she was in her youth. The movie is only worth watching because Patty is in it and it will terrify you because she is in it. If any other actress had taken the role you would be rolling your eyes and turning the channel. I am now terrified of grannies and have a whole new respect for them. I might even give them my seat on the bus if I ever deem to humble myself by taking public transportation alongside common people (which will never happen-just saying). This story could have been a bit more polished and gained a higher rating. The actors were good, especially the kid, but the overall plot needed some more work.

I gave this 5 stars because the ridiculousness of this movie crossed the line from bad thriller movie to actual comedy.

Netflix is on a roll with picking garbage to add to its content. A old lady with the strength of a line backer and the skills of a ninja. I thought Amazon and Vudu were the only ones in the race to the bottom, then Netflix says "here hold my beer"

This is more like a really bad Lifetime movie. Fluff is fine on occasion but, after 15 minutes, I turned it off. You could guess after a few minutes where the plot was going and was confirmed around the 15 minute mark. Suspense is key in a thriller. Predictable everything!!
This movie was great. I can understand why people don't like it. It doesn't have a huge all-star cast. It's not super bloody and the plot is obvious. But looking past that, this was a fantastic movie. The best part (for me anyway) was seeing Patty McCormack at it again. For horror movie buffs, McCormack started in the original "The Bad Seed" as the adorable Rhoda. If you haven't seen the original, I urge that you do before you watch Rob Lowe on Lifetime. (McCormack will also be in the new Bad Seed FYI) So this movie really felt like an older Rhoda just doing what she does best. Give it a try. If you want blood, monsters, sex, curse words, etc.THIS IS NOT YOUR MOVIE! Other than that you should try it.

Bad acting, except for the old man in the wheelchair! Seemed like a bad movie you'd catch on a Saturday afternoon because you have absolutely nothing else to do. That's about the only time I would recommend watching this. Or if you confined to a hospital bed with no remote in sight and you have no choice but to watch it.

Wow. Just wow. This has to be the greatest, most underrated film of 2018. The acting is absolutely flawless and honestly, it brings a tear to my eye just thinking about this incredible movie. First of all, the man who plays Gene had an Oscar level performance. George T. Woods played his role with absolute perfection and really brought the whole movie together. Another notable performance is the acting of Patty McCormack. Her role as the creepy old lady that lives across the street was incredible to watch. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, or my poopy butt out of my chair, even though I drank two large polar pops throughout the movie and felt like I had to unleash enough urine to fill up the Atlantic.

Not bad for a made-for-TV movie rated TV-14 on Netflix. I had completely forgotten that Patty McCormick was in this film until the end titles rolled. She had previously played the evil child in "The Bad Seed" (1956).

This movie is the worst movie I have every had the misfortune of watching. It is inept at every second during its run time. Rampant with awful acting, terrible sound design, atrocious writing, flat cinematography and story beats that make paranormal activity movies look like Shakespeare. You would have to have never seen a horror movie, actually any movie for this movie to surprise you. It's predictable at every step of the way. Not only is it predictable but everyone inside the movie itself acts like they have had their brain surgically removed and replaced with a squirrels nut collection. Every single thing that happens in this movie is nonsensical and pointless. Every death will have you saying "well she's going to get caught right?". This movie expects you to throw out all logic aside to make way for this movies brainless plot. The police in this movie have more than a few chances to arrest Sylvia but instead just ignore every single opportunity and warning sign. Every actor in this movie has zero direction and just seems to feel like they are just in a play reading their lines. Now I will say there are some points were the movie was so baffalingly brain dead that I laughed at it, for example when they decided to place the camera in a bowl of oatmeal in what's supposed to be a thrilling scene. But overall is not nearly bad enough to be a so bad that it's good movie. Instead it's just a boring predictable mess that annoys you at every logical leap that it makes. This movie only exists to be made fun of full stop.

10 stars for the idea of hiring Patty McCormack (at whose doorstep I do NOT lay this steaming pile of lazy thinking) minus 7 stars for troubling us with a French title for no good reason minus 1 star for existing = 2 stars.
Now that the math is out of the way: Patty! Seriously, sweetheart: is it the money?! Do you need money?! I will help you!! Please do not accept projects out of hunger! I will make you dinner!!
Or did you lose a bet?
Or does someone "have some dirt" on you? Say the word: I will break kneecaps!!
Whatever it is, Patty dear, we're worried. Please let us know you're not involved with a gang of rich kids who keep you hopped up on the dopes and force you to act in their lousy films!

I'm still mad af myself for watching this whole movie. It is predictable the whole way through. At one point the couple is supposed to be arguing and it seems like they are having a hard time not laughing at how ridiculous this movie is. You would get more of a surprise watching paint dry.

A psychopathic old lady in the neighbourhood, with some horrible secret that she's not telling. She lives with a sick old man in a wheelchair. She's lied about who he is, by telling some people that he's her husband, and others that he's her brother. She's a nasty and malicious piece of work. I found the way this film handled the rest was disjointed and confusing. It was like a comedy when the old psycho woman murders a grandmother, and serious now and then. The ending (no spoilers) made the character make no sense even more! Whoever made this film, needs to go back to school.

The acting could've been better, some parts of the movie didn't need to be included. I still really enjoyed it though and love the concept of this movie. I'd love if there was a remake one day with more suspense and a better execution.

The script is dull, predictable, and outright lame. It was hard to get through a movie with not only huge pacing issues but tonal inconsistencies that I can usually overlook in a TV movie. Patty McCormack at least tries to save the day.
