an unfinished movie

Good comedy, great atmosphere ( iran 80s ) and a bad ending it could be a 2 hours movie it was too short and the romance story wasn't complete and they also used some great music such as moonlight sonata by beethoven and some other classic music and a short piece of farhad they couldn't use other famous singers back there because of censorship however they showed early post-revolution culture especially in schools it has a very sarcastic dialog to nowadays iranian policy

combining love with war !

It was one of the very good films at a festival where there were good films. A drama and romantic film starring Peyman Maadi and Leila Hatami, who were able to cope well with their role. As a director and screenwriter, Maadi showed that he has a very good ability to make films like this.

The great thing about this was the fascinating and even endearing presentation of the war. It may seem strange at first glance, but after watching the movie, you will realize how beautiful it was shown, combining love with war!

Interesting to watch

The second movie of Payman Maadi is a love story that happens during the Iraq-Iran war in Tehran. It is successful in combining the two contrasting concepts: love and war. However, the story is slow and there's not much happening in most of the movies, and it does not help to introduce the characters to the audience. There are also some signs from the director that repeat way more than necessary, in a way that they are not interesting anymore. (such as the tangerine peel) From the technical point of view, it is a big step forward compared to his first movie (The Snow on The Pines) where the brilliant soundtrack of Eleni Karaindrou and the Mahmoud Kalari's cinematography are very successful in showing the war-torn city.

war, a boy, love, a bicycle

Some scenes in this film remind me Malena(2000).

war, a boy, a hidden love, a bicycle.

Beautiful love story

This is so great to watch a movie combined with emotions that are being reall by spending times throughout the day and week. I like the love story of little boy at the movie his love story was sweet and I could understand it so deeply. Another point is the war problems that happened through people's life but it could never stop the day , and people just keep living and never gave up. so meaningful movie

You won't be disappointed!

Definitely a feel-good movie. The acting, the storyline, the soundtrack, cinematography, the atmosphere, everything go along in such pleasant harmony.

a new but slow approach to war movies

It is basically trying to look at a concept (war) from a different perspective and to show that while war puts people in misery, it doesn't stop their lives. That love happens in the time of war and is as sweet as always. However the final outcome was just a cliche and a slow story just serving its purpose, without any ups and downs that could make this purpose into an interesting storyline.

Great story, Good cinematography

As a 20 yo boy, I've always heard about war but never really felt that. This movie helped me to more understand that time.
