The signing marks a reunion of sorts for the Gersh-repped Dungey and manager Paul Rosicker of Quest. Dungey has been with Gersh for over two decades, while Rosicker was a TV talent agent at Gersh for 30+ years before launching Quest with partner Brian Ferrantino last year.
Recently, Dungey has been seen in a series regular role opposite Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear on Starz’s Shining Vale. She’s also recurred on CBS’s S.W.At., Bob’s Burgers for Fox, The Lincoln Lawyer at Netflix, and HBO’s Emmy winner Big Little Lies.
Dungey originally broke out as Francie, the roommate of Jennifer Garner’s Sydney, on J. J. Abrams’ Alias. She continues to be represented by Gersh and Jackoway, Austen Tyerman.
We were first to report on the launch of Quest Entertainment & Management in February of last year.

Warning: This story contains spoilers from Season 1 of Bad Sisters
For Fiona Shaw, joining the tight-knit cast of Bad Sisters for its second season on Apple TV+ brought some initial anxiety — but that quickly faded thanks to the show's “generous” cast.
“I was scared,” the Emmy- and Tony Award-nominated actress told Gold Derby on the red carpet at the show’s FYC event Saturday at the Hollywood Athletic Club. But “they all said, ‘Come out to dinner with us. Be with us.’ And they were so welcoming that I never wanted to leave them. I wanted to become an honorary ‘bad sister.’”
Shaw plays Angelica Muldoon in the dark comedy about five Irish sisters. The first season, adapted from the 2012 Belgian series Clan, was developed by executive producer and actress Sharon Horgan, who also stars as eldest sister Eva.

Fargo wrapped up with its final season last year, and the show has seen many movie and TV veterans come and go through its five-season run. One of the stars from the first and second seasons of Fargo was Allison Tolman, famed for her role as Molly Solverson. Unlike many other TV shows, Fargo brings in a mostly new cast each season to tell a new story, with names like Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Jason Schwartzman all coming and going over the years. Tolman never came back after Season 2, but we now know this wasn’t due to a lack of interest. During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Tolman was asked about her time on Fargo, and she spoke about it fondly but also recalled how difficult it was to stand on the sidelines after departing the show:

The creator and star of Bad Sisters and Catastrophe — along with her production company, Merman — has signed a two-year, first-look deal with HBO. The first project under the deal is a comedy series that Horgan will write, executive produce and star in; HBO has given the untitled show a straight-to-series order.
“We’re thrilled to be reunited with Sharon. Her willingness to offer up her own experiences through the characters she creates makes us all feel a little less lonely, that is what sets her comedy apart so brilliantly,” said Amy Gravitt, executive vp comedy programming at HBO and Max. “She also has such a sharp eye for material and a strong desire to shepherd other people’s stories, we’re looking forward to the new talent she will bring into the fold.”
Horgan previously had a first-look deal at Apple TV.

Nearly 30 years after the release of the ’90s cult hit film “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion,” stars Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are in talks to return for a legacyquel produced by 20th Century Studios.
Released in 1997, the film follows a pair of 29-year-olds who realize they haven’t done much with their lives since graduating high school, and decide to make up a story that they struck it rich after inventing Post-it Notes. The film was released by Touchstone Pictures, a release label established by Disney for films aimed at adult audiences.

The Boys has been a major success for Prime Video with its depiction of an alternate reality in which superheroes abuse their powers. The superhero satire premiered in 2019 and returned last year for season 4, with the upcoming The Boys season 5 now confirmed to bring the show to an end. The show is beloved for its collection of despicable and deplorable characters, with Antony Starr's Homelander being the biggest and baddest Supe of all.
Starr, a New Zealander, was a series regular on Outrageous Fortune, which ran from 2005 to 2010, before going on to appear in projects like Rush, Tricky Business, and Guy Ritchie's The Covenant (2023). Starr's most notable role before joining the cast of The Boys, however, was as the lead of an acclaimed crime thriller TV show that ran on Cinemax from 2013 to 2016. This show is now finding success once more on streaming.

We had learned in the tail end of 2023 that the Courteney Cox horror series “Shining Vale” had been cancelled after two seasons at Starz, with the horror-comedy series being pulled from the Starz streaming service entirely at the end of the year. In other words, there was nowhere to even legally watch the series after its cancellation, but that has thankfully changed.
At the start of this year, Bloody Disgusting has learned, “Shining Vale” returned to streaming. The previously released two seasons of the show are now streaming exclusively on Max.
Created by Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, the short-lived horror series was produced by Warner Bros. TV, which would explain how it ended up on Max over a year after being given the axe by Starz. Mind you, this doesn’t mean the series is returning to life with new seasons, but rather its previously produced two seasons have found a new streaming home.

A new group of teens find themselves wrapped up in a new horrifying mystery in Goosebumps: The Vanishing. The Disney+ show serves as an adaptation of R.L. Stine's iconic children's horror novels of the same name, with the first season centering on a group of teens in a fictional small town of Washington who inadvertently unleash an evil force connected to the death of a teen from 30 years prior. The Vanishing is taking an anthology approach to the show, focusing on a new set of characters in New York and their investigation into the disappearance of a teen from 30 years prior.
Among the Goosebumps: The Vanishing's roster of characters is American Born Chinese alum Stony Blyden as Trey, the jock of the group who proves antagonistic to main characters, Devin and Cece, after the former begins bonding with his girlfriend, Frankie. The latter, a creative free spirit, is played by Galilea La Salvia,...

When Starz decided to cancel the series Shining Vale back in 2023, the decision was met with disappointment and criticism, especially since the network also decided to wipe the show’s two seasons completely from its platform. Thankfully, for viewers who missed it when it originally aired, Shining Vale has a new streaming home, landing on Max just in time for the start of the new year. The dark comedy-horror series is led by Courteney Cox, who is also one of the show's executive producers, alongside show creators Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, the latter of whom is also known for co-creating Apple TV+'s Bad Sisters. If you're looking for another genre-bending series, as well as an opportunity to watch one of Cox's most underrated horror performances, you need to check out Shining Vale.

Shining Vale, a Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear-led, award-winning horror comedy show, was canceled by Starz at the end of 2023 after just two seasons. To add insult to injury, Starz also removed the show from its library. Fans will be happy to know that both seasons have reappeared on Max on New Year's Day 2025 and quickly went to number three on the charts.
The show follows the Phelps family, Patricia "Pat" (Courteney Cox) and Terry (Greg Kinnear) as they move to an old house in a small Connecticut town, in an attempt to save their marriage. Unfortunately, their new home was the site of horrible events and could be haunted. Soon, Pat wonders if she has become possessed by the demons that could be lurking in the house.

The horror comedy series Shining Vale premiered on Starz back in March of 2022, then the second season reached the airwaves in October of 2023. Unfortunately, it was cancelled soon after, as it “did not find a large enough audience to continue.” But Starz went further than just cancelling this show, they also it from their archives, removing from the Starz streaming service at the end of 2023. A year later, Shining Vale has now resurfaced and is available to watch on the Max streaming service!
Created by Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, the first season of Shining Vale followed a dysfunctional family that moves from the city to a small town into a house in which terrible atrocities have taken place. But no one seems to notice except for Patricia “Pat” Phelps, who’s convinced she’s either depressed or possessed – turns out, the symptoms are exactly the same. Pat is a...

Last year, the Courteney Cox-led Shining Vale — despite its positive critical reception — was cancelled way too soon by Starz. The horror comedy sadly did not garner enough audience engagement to warrant another season and was ultimately removed from the streaming platform's library. Luckily, a year after its unfortunate fate, the series gets a new lease on life on a new platform. Warner Bros. Discovery picked up Seasons 1 and 2 of Shining Vale, now streaming exclusively on Max....

Shining Vale has found a new streaming home. The Starz horror-comedy show, which was co-created by Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, stars Courteney Cox as an author whose family moves to a new home where she is haunted by supernatural entities. The Shining Vale cast also includes Greg Kinnear, Gus Birney, Merrin Dungey, Dylan Gage, and Mira Sorvino. Less than three weeks after its season 2 finale, the show was cancelled, after which point it was removed from the Starz streaming service in its entirety.
Now, Shining Vale has appeared in the Max library. This means that it has officially found a new home after spending more than a year not being available to stream on any platform, as it was removed from Starz by the end of December 2023. How about some exciting news to kick off 2025?! If you're a fan of Courteney Cox's Starz horror-comedy series Shining Vale, then you were sad to learn in December 2023 that the series had been canceled after two seasons. Not only that, the series was also stripped from the cable network's streaming service, leaving the underrated series in limbo.
Well, you don't have to worry about not being able to watch the show anymore. In a surprise announcement on New Year's Day, Shining Vale seasons 1 and 2 arrived on Max for streaming. As a series produced by Warner Bros. Television, the series ending up on the Warner Bros. Discovery streaming platform makes so much sense. If only it had happened sooner!
In the series, Emmy Award nominated-Friends star Cox plays writer Pat Phelps, who relocates with her husband (Greg Kinnear) and teenage children from Brooklyn to a seemingly haunted house in Connecticut.

A year after Shining Vale was canceled by Starz and removed from the streamer’s library, the existing two seasons of the series, starring Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear, are available for streaming again, this time on Max.
The Warner Bros. Discovery streamer picked up the two seasons of horror comedy, produced by sibling Warner Bros. Television which at the time of the December 2023 cancellation tried to find a new home for it.
Season 1 of Shining Vale, from creators Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, followed Pat (Cox) and Terry Phelps (Kinnear), a married couple who cash in their life savings and move from a cramped Brooklyn apartment to an old Victorian mansion in Connecticut, as a last-ditch effort to save their marriage. Doors slam, the piano plays by itself and when an old-fashioned-looking woman appears to hover outside the family window, Pat believes that she is going crazy — or worse.

Courteney Cox's Horror Comedy Series (That Was Canceled Too Soon) Hits Max as Fans Wait for Scream 7
After several months of negotiations, legacy star Courteney Cox will officially return for the upcoming installment in the Scream franchise, Scream 7. However, the film is more than a year away from its theatrical release, but Max has the perfect replacement.
While fans wait to see what will happen next to Cox's Gale Weathers, the only legacy star to have appeared in all Scream installments so far, Warner Bros. Discovery offered the second-best option. On Jan. 1, Courteney Cox's two-season series Shining Vale premiered on Max. While it's quite different from the famous slasher franchise, Shining Vale is a satirical comedy horror that will keep viewers entertained.

He said of his time on Family Ties: "Good memories for sure. They were a second family to me, growing up doing that ... Michael J. Fox used to come pick me up in his Ferrari, taught me to dive into a pool. It was so comfortable hanging out."
The break helped him appear in more 1990s shows, including Father Hood and Blank Check, until he retired in 1995. He later shifted his career and pursued his passion for music with several bands.

Dripping with allegories and hidden themes, there are still many fans who want the ending of The Babadook explained. The Babadook's touches on darker aspects of motherhood, loss, grief, and how mental illness can create monsters all on its own. However, the movie ends on a confusing but conclusive note for its titular terror and the family he torments. The story sees single mother Amelia struggle with depression just as her son Samuel becomes obsessed with the horrifying movie monster Mister Babadook, who he fears is real and will come for him.
Eventually, the strange events that happen at home find Amelia resenting her son, who she seems to blame for his father's death without reason. Their tenuous relationship, despite her displaying a protective mother's ferocity, seems to fuel the beast who haunts them. Is Blue Bloods prepping not one but two spinoffs? The big casting news for Season 14B seems to hint at that!
For a show that's run 14 seasons and is one of the biggest hits on its network, it's truly amazing Blue Bloods has never gotten a spinoff. Given CBS loves its franchises like FBI and NCIS, one would think it's natural. Heck, Fire Country has only had two seasons and it's getting a spinoff.
A reason may be how Blue Bloods is always focused on the Reagans more than other characters, and it's hard to see a show working without that connection. That family bond has made the show a huge hit, even if the upcoming second half of Season 14 will be the last.
There have been rumors of a possible spinoff with Donnie Wahlberg even hinting at one, although it may not be about his character, Danny Reagan. An...

CBS's Ghosts outperformed rival show Shining Vale in ratings and popularity. Shining Vale struggled with balancing its horror and comedy elements. Ghosts maintained a confident tone and successfully parodied horror tropes.
Although CBSs Ghosts is deservedly loved by critics and viewers alike, the hit sitcoms success may have contributed to another rival shows swift demise. It is always tough when two competing TV shows or movies stumble on the same central conceit. In 2015, both Scream Queens and MTVs Scream took a stab at reigniting the self-aware teen slasher craze of the 90s. A few years earlier, 2 Broke Girls and Dont Trust The ***** In Apartment 23 told the stories of young New York heroines who struggled to make ends meet with the help of a cynical, sardonic friend.

When TV academy voters sit down to fill out their 2024 Emmy nominations ballots, they have to consider 73 shows for Best Comedy Series; this is down by 22 contenders from last year. As was the case last year, each member’s selections may not exceed the number of eventual nominations in a given category, which will be eight in this case.
On its quest for a second consecutive victory here, “The Bear” will have to fend off just two of its seven 2023 rivals: “Abbott Elementary” and “Only Murders in the Building.” Last year’s remaining contenders that did not air episodes during the June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024 eligibility period are “Barry,” “Jury Duty,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Ted Lasso,” and “Wednesday,” the last of which is the only one known to have a new season in the works.
Remember, only eight of the shows listed below will earn bids for Best Comedy Series...
