Ya se ha publicado el tráiler de “Hotel Bitcoin”, la película dirigida por Manuel Sanabria (“La Pecera de Eva”) y Carlos ‘Pocho’ Villaverde (“La Fiesta”), y co-escrita por ambos directores junto a Ángela Obón (“4 Estrellas”).

“Hotel Bitcoin” cuenta la historia de un grupo de amigos tiene que sobrevivir durante un fin de semana dentro de un hotel con una cifra descomunal de dinero virtual que custodiar, poniendo a prueba su ingenio.

La comedia está protagonizada por Alejo Sauras (“Solo Química”), Pablo Chiapella (“La que se Avecina”), Canco Rodríguez (“Operación Camarón”), Mauricio Ochmann (“Papá o Mamá”), Marta Hazas (“Culpa Mía”), Leonor Lavado (“Mambo”) y Vanesa Romero (“La que se Avecina”). Completan el reparto Jorge Bosch (“Todos Mienten”), Dani Muriel y Sergio Bezos (Del programa “La Resistencia”).

“Hotel Bitcoin” se estrena en cines el 13 de septiembre.

Movistar+ Promotes Domingo Corral to Director of Fiction and Entertainment Content

In a significant play for audience growth at Telefonica’s Movistar+, Domingo Corral has been promoted to the position of director of fiction and entertainment at the company, the biggest Spanish pay TV/SVOD service.

The move, which in some ways echoes the larger oversight of ITV Studios’ Ruth Berry, marks further recognition for the former director of original fiction who has spearheaded Movistar+’s notably successful drive into scripted production, begun with its first releases in 2017.

Playing off Corral’s innate flair at forge talent relationships his passion for premium entertainment and willingness to explore flexible market models, Movistar+ has created some of the most lauded and prized series in Spain, such as Canneseries double winner “A Perfect Life,” Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s “Riot Police” and “Offworld,” chosen by Variety as one of its best international TV shows of 2022.

Prime Video Revives Live Talent Format ‘Operación Triunfo’ & Reveals Spanish Slate Including Local Version Of ‘Takeshi’s Castle’

Prime Video is reviving classic Spanish talent gala format Operación Triunfo and has unveiled its latest slate of scripted shows, films and doc series from the nation along with a local version of Takeshi’s Castle.

The 12th season Operación Triunfo, which is filmed in front of a live audience, will stream on the SVoD in Spain and Latin America later this year.

A major ratings hit and cultural phenomenon, the first 11 seasons aired on Spanish public broadcaster Rtve and ran between 2001 and 2020.

The musical talent show follows a series of aspiring contestants as they enter a musical academy to train and display singing and artistic skills. Each week, in a live gala, they compete on stage.
