Mutilator 2, writer/director Buddy Cooper’s long-awaited follow-up to his 1984 slasher The Mutilator (pick up a copy Here), is starting to make its way out into the world. The movie was screened at Joe Bob Briggs’ latest drive-in Jamboree event a couple of years ago, and received an “audience favorite” award there. It took a while for it to secure a distribution deal, but now it has – and while Cooper and the distributor were talking about a September 2nd release date, Mutilator 2 has already shown up on Prime Video! It’s currently available to watch at This Link, where it can be rented for $2.99 or purchased for $9.99.

Cooper has confirmed that the movie will be released to major transactional platforms first followed by Fandango/Vudu, Rogers, and then some of the Mod platforms. Eventually, it will also make its way to Tubi and Xumo.

Cooper confirmed this on Facebook, where he wrote, “We are still searching for distribution. It might help if a few fans asked their favorite streaming service or theater when they would be showing Mutilator 2. If enough people show an interest, I feel like a distributor would be willing to help get it out to everyone.“

In 2021, Eva Hamilton – whose acting credits include roles in Death Kiss and the upcoming Mutilator 2 – co-founded a production company called The Mooncats, with Stacey Nelkin of Halloween III: Season of the Witch on board as a creative executive. The first project to come from The Mooncats is the short horror film The Shed, and the company reports that they have signed a non-exclusive distribution deal with Cinedigm! As part of this deal, The Shed will be featured in the next season of Bloody Bites, a collection of horror shorts that are released through the Screambox streaming service.

Ghost Town is a horror western that was shot in Arizona. Developed by writer Owen Conway (Eminence Hill) and producer Mem Ferda (The Devil's Double), this feature is set in 1877, during the Wild West. In this setting, character Soloman is a barkeep with a bad reputation, with locals suspecting him of murder. As well, Eva Hamilton (Death Kiss) stars, along with Becky Jo Harris. The film's first poster is here. Ferda's production arm, Filmcore, and Matchstick Movies helped complete this title. Ferda says of Ghost Town: "there is a huge demand for Western and Horror films...I aim to continue fulfilling fans needs and desires for cross genre films with gripping storylines." Ghost Town hopes to gain followers of both the horror and western genres. Ghost Town is nearing completion and is expected to release later in 2021. More details will be released on this story driven feature, which looks at a mysterious character.

Top Dollar Films and The Darkest Machines have provided us with an exclusive clip from their upcoming horror thriller Cry Havoc. The movie is directed by Rene Perez (The Dead and the Damned) and it features the deranged killer Havoc from Playing with Dolls: Havoc. In the previous installment, the serial killer escapes from prison and then terrorized unsuspecting lovers at their cabin getaway with a chainsaw. Luckily we don't have to wait very long to see the sequel. Cry Havoc comes to VOD on May 5th, 2020.

As if having one of his films, Playing With Dolls, released in the UK as Leatherface wasn’t bad enough (though not his decision but rather the UK distributors), Rene Perez has gone all out with his latest movie, in “homaging” other exploitation films – in this case Charles Bronson and Death Wish – with Death Kiss. Perez’s latest film features Charles Bronson doppelganger Robert Bronzi (here billed as Robert Kovacs), who previously appeared in another Rene Perez film From Hell to the Wild West, as a vigilante with a mysterious past who goes to a crime-infested city and takes the law into his own hands, trying to rid the city of crime whilst at the same time protecting a young mother and her child.

You'll believe Charles Bronson is back from the dead...Or not. It's hard to say how ethical it is to keep pumping out new action movies with a spot-on Charlie lookalike, but Robert Bronzi is certainly making a career out of it. We have the first official trailer for his latest action thriller Escape from Death Block 13. And if you squint really hard, or quick chug a couple shots of shoe polish, you'll believe you're actually watching a long lost action masterpiece starring Charles Bronson himself.

"Bronzi is back!" Screams the tagline on Escape from Death Block 13, which is a solid throwback to the gritty action thrillers of yesteryear. It perfectly recalls John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 and Charles Bronson's own Death Wish. The new prison action feature stars Robert Bronzi, who was last seen in Death Kiss. And he's obviously changed his name to give himself more of a Bronson vibe.

Sometimes, you are so excited about a film that you just have to do a flash mob. Ahead of the November 30th release of Anna and the Apocalypse from Orion Pictures, a group of Austinites and zombies participated in a flash mob in downtown Austin, Texas. I’ve got a ridiculous trailer here for you to watch today for a new vigilante action-thriller called Death Kiss. We haven't gotten a new Charles Bronson movie since Family of Cops 3 way back in 1999. The actor passed away at age 81 in 2003, and there has been a hole in action cinema ever since. Now, one man is stepping in to fill that hole, and you'll either find it indelibly creepy or really cool. It all depends on how you feel about lookalikes and their need to make money off the dead.
