Pattinson Premiere
Bong Joon Ho‘s upcoming science fiction film, “Mickey 17,” is scheduled to debut in South Korean theaters on Feb. 28, preceding its global release by a week, Warner Bros. Korea said on Friday. The $118 million production is Bong’s first directorial effort since the Oscar-winning “Parasite.”
Pattinson is set to join Bong in Seoul on Jan. 20 to kick off the movie’s promotional tour. The duo will participate in a press conference and showcase exclusive footage at Cgv Yongsan.
Based on the 2022 novel “Mickey7” by Edward Ashton, the sci-fi thriller stars Pattinson an “expendable” employee named Mickey Barnes. In the novel, Mickey is sent on dangerous missions to colonize an ice planet. When one version of Mickey dies, a duplicate is created to replace him that retains most of his memories. The cast also includes Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo.

Often known as the "good brother" on The Vampire Diaries, Stefan Salvatore was not such a simple character. He seemed to be very morally right at the beginning of the CW fantasy, but his darker side was revealed as the show went on. Just like Damon, Stefan had also committed sins that were horrifying in nature but were largely glossed over because of his pleasant nature.
Stefan's worst trait was his descent into becoming a Ripper, which usually happened when he lost his humanity. This meant that the sweet Stefan everyone knew and loved would disappear whenever his switch was flipped. He was terrifying when he was at his worst, and these were the most questionable things he did during his time in The Vampire Diaries.

Joining them is Air Force Sergeant J.J. Kinney a rookie Jtac. He’s not qualified to go out with these guys, but he was the only one available to act as their link with drone operators Reaper and Nia back in the US.

Director/Producer Jenn Wexler’s sophomore feature, The Sacrifice Game, arrives on Shudder on December 8, just in time to spread holiday fear for the season.
With co-writer Sean Redlitz, Wexler’s latest infuses Yuletide horror with a maniacal Satanic cult set at a boarding school in the ’70s.
Mena Massoud, Olivia Scott Welch, Olympian Gus Kenworthy, Chloë Levine, Madison Baines, Derek Johns, Laurent Pitre and Georgia Acken star.
Bloody Disgusting spoke with Wexler about her devilishly fun Christmas horror feature, where she discussed her influences and ensured a movie titled The Sacrifice Game delivers on the bloodletting.
At the gooey center of a violent, bloody holiday horror tale lies the charming friendship between two teen girls held hostage by a deranged cult. Not only does friendship become the emotional backbone, but Wexler reveals that her horror movies ultimately speak to her childhood.
The filmmaker tells us, “The stories I want to tell,...

Imagine if you will a line of dominoes that increase in size as they move left to right. A man stands behind the smallest domino, poised to knock it forward, which will instigate a chain reaction leading to the largest domino toppling over. This "domino theory" illustration helps to visualize the causal interconnection between a seemingly innocuous event in the past and a monumental event in the present or near future. It's especially handy when attempting to understand how 20th Century Fox studio head Darryl F. Zanuck's mother getting a cold in 1908 led indirectly to the creation and broad success of the comedy procedural series "Bones" in 2005. And not because "Bones" was a Fox show. The connection is much more serpentine and intriguing.
You see, when the Wahoo, Wisconsin-born Sarah Louise Zanuck caught a hard-to-shake chill in the latter years of the 20th century's first decade, she thought it'd...

Martial arts B-movie stars like Matthias Hues, Loren Avedon, and Richard Norton have gained notoriety through their roles in low-budget films. These underground heavy hitters have appeared in iconic martial arts movies like The King of Kickboxers, Cage, and City Hunter. While some stars, like Billy Blanks and Jeff Speakman, have had success outside of the genre, their careers as B-movie stars still deliver exhilarating action.
There are many martial arts B-movie stars whose work should not go unnoticed by those action films. In the long history of martial arts movies, many of the biggest stars of the genre have become household names, including Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. However, in the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s, many other martial artists have also cultivated sizable followings without making it quite as big as the genre's most well-known stars.

The Rrr ending continues the movie's larger-than-life feel and themes of camaraderie and rebellion. Directed by S. S. Rajamouli and starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan, Rrr is a big-budget spectacle about tribal protector Komaram Bheem and military policeman A. Rama Raju, who become quick friends, but find themselves divided by Bheem's mission to save his sister Malli from colonial authorities. The movie's final act separates its protagonists Komaram Bheem and Sitarama Raju amid mutual distrust, only to bring them together again to continue their fight against the British colonial occupation of India and their different ways of fighting oppression.
Based on true events, Rrr culminates with Raju and Bheem coming to blows in a massive fight that ends with Bheem being imprisoned by the colonial authorities. Raju gets his much-desired promotion to Special Officer, but is forced to whip his friend before a large crowd.

The first trailer for Cut Throat City has landed. This is the latest from RZA, the Wu-Tang Clan member turned director. He was on hand at San Diego Comic-Con to debut the trailer to a big crowd and it marks a major departure from his previous directorial efforts. This looks like a gritty crime drama through and through without an ounce of tongue-in-cheek or martial arts to be found.
The cast for the movie includes Shameik Moore, Wesley Snipes, Demetrius Shipp Jr., Denzel Whitaker, Keean Johnson, Kat Graham, and Tyron Woodley, who were all on hand and on stage with RZA to introduce the footage at Sdcc. T.I. and Terrence Howard are also part of the ensemble but they couldn't make the trip to San Diego for the event.
