Hideo Kojima Inspired

For a low budget horror film this isn't really bad at all. it's great at creating atmosphere and some good scares along the way. The premise of a haunted livestream is kind of interesting but sort of skipped over in the film, and only marginally touched upon here and there.

The film is about an hour long with the majority of that set in a single house, but the film does have random cut aways to other locations, which are used to pad out the backstory and add in some scares. The issue with this though is that the film can be a bit disorientating and it can be hard to keep up with what actually is going on and why.

The film is clearly inspired by Hideo Kojima's and Konami's P.T. video game, with a similar plot, use of radio, setting and some visuals. The film is also filmed in such a way to give it the appearance of a video game, including some moments which are filmed in first person. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as the video game was a critical success and sadly was cancelled before it's release so there is plenty of room to develop that lore further.

Overall the film was well put together and had the occasional impressive moment, but ultimately was a bit lackluster and didn't make much sense hence the low score.

Movie that play a mind game call it Mental Twister

I would not watch this again yet if I could I would watch it for the first time, but I already have so let's move on.

It is a movie that was not horrible and it was not amazing so it was someplace in between.

It has enough going on that you can not completely get the story and plot in your mind As the movie switches the story story starts to change in your mind also. It is a great mental twister and when you think you have it figured out something happens and the. You got to rethink it all over again.

At end you may just figure out what is going on if you haven't before then. Good luck and please let us all know your thoughts of the movie .

Far king creepy

This is damn creepy for what it is; a low budget small cast, maybe even a student film, but man it gave me chills. Short, at under an hour, slow paced with a lot of single take shots and constantly building tension.

ANOTHER one?

This director really pumps out the Z level "found footage"/"POV" "stuff."

However, the streamers will accept ANYTHING these days, regardless of the quality. Content. Content. Content.

Sure, there are HUNDREDS of things being dumped these days. Particularly in this genre.

As a fellow Texan, it really irks me that this even happens. That I am even discussing this - but my choice.

There are MANY great low-budget filmmakers in Texas, whose work never sees exposure.

But with this genre, it's a free-for-all.

I've watched HUNDREDS of films of this ilk, and have only really liked about ten of them. I appreciate uniqueness. I appreciate good writing and direction.

Avoid the clichés. (Haunted asylum. Haunted hospital. Haunted school. Haunted factory. Paranormal investigators.)

I realize that this pablum works.

Sad.

It's nice when previous films are not just ripped off.
