Alexei Fedorchenko's World War II drama Voina Anny (Anna's War) on Friday was named the best Russian movie of 2018 during the Golden Eagle Awards ceremony, which was held at Moscow’s film studio Mosfilm.
Fedorchenko also picked up the best director prize for the film, which premiered at last year's Rotterdam Film Festival.
