Okay, just to get this out of the way... the acting is terrible BUT I enjoyed this. It was a cross between The Final & Death and Cremation which are two of my favorites. An outcast that's bullied everyday snaps. She gets a bit of a nudge from a serial killer that has a soft spot for the teen and empathizes with the girl's plight. He and his cohort train her and assist her on acting out her revenge on those who wronged her. Acting aside, the movie was done well. Although I'd describe the film as The Final meets Death and Cremation, I still find the movie to be an original storyline which is hard to come by nowadays. If you're a snooty moviegoer who is looking for an Emmy Award winner, this is not for you. But if you're a horror movie lover, like me, who loves revenge films & can overlook bad acting & find beauty in the bad or loves those 'so bad they're good' kinda movies, give this a go. It might surprise you.
Todd Braley brings you Misfit! A low budget movie with style and gritty ness to satisfy Grindhouse lovers.
Bullying is a big issue in society and gets swept under the rug and over looked. Well not in misfits. A different young lady that doesn't fit in is tormented by the glamour girls of her school. Yeah there the perfect girl next door that torment and make fun of who is not in there circle.
Well perfect cinematography and direction really tackles a very important subject. The reason I love Indy's is cause there not usher coated and paint by numbers everything will be all right.
No things will be taken care of and revenge is on the table. Gore, getting even and good ole fashion gore is displayed.
Frank Moore is the perfect mentor to show this young bullied teen the rite way. A serial killer, homicidal maniac takes him under his wing. He directs and shows her the perfect way to get even with her tormentors.
Torture is on the menu and this fine actor is so talented you actually are mesmerized when he talks. His command of his lines is amazing. I would listen to him. This young lady is weak and looking for guidance. Her life is so bad she is looking for any kind of companionship and true friendship.
What comes next is a gore fest that will please all horror fans!
Todd Braley has tackled a very important subject in our society and handled it tasteful and respectful. It will have All bullying victims standing up and cheering.
It stand above your average low budget horror because it uses talent and creativity and makes it work.
Bravo to a very talent crew and cast. I just heard there is a sequel coming soon and can't wait what direction this is going.
Maybe Stitches Goes to College?
I am game!

Very Low Budget but its an Indie and I love indie flicks for its story so Im not really expecting Superior effects. Which is why I loved attack of the killer tomatoes and sharknado flicks for its entertainment value! Misfit is a pretty good indie movie about a bullied teen that befriends serial killers that teaches her how to seek revenge on her tormentors.... Fun Story and different from what Ive seen on the Big Screen remake garbage! An Original Story! Some of the acting was ok some were not but they did their parts good enough for me to be entertained! LOTS OF GORE! Beware! but I love gore so its cool! Misfit 2 with a bigger budget would be awesome!
But it was more believable that Netflix's Tall Girl. The so called mean girls weren't believable at all. In fact they looked they would've been bullied at school for being not "pretty or hot" at all.
