I have to say - and it might be a guilty admission considering some of the other reviews - BUT I enjoyed this. It was entertainment. Lots of great Sydney scenery with sun and surf. It might not be the crime drama standard of Broadchurch but it keep me watching till the end. We know from the start who the killer is but I kept watching to see when they twigged that the killer was one of their own. I see from other reviews that some people don't like the romance aspect and I must admit it all picked up when it was just the chase for the serial killer. At one stage two of the main characters were discussing an engagement party while waiting for a loved one to identify a body. Like, really? I am sure real detectives can switch of their tumultuous love lives at such a moment. I thought the acting was great and the Hobbit guy played a creepy guy very well. Though he did seem to have a LOT of free time on his hands. I have a job where I have to be accountable for my time and can't leave for unexplained hours on end. But that is with the writers, not the actors. Another critique would be the murder sub plots separate from the serial killer plot were a bit simplistic. One more thing, I don't know where they filmed the inside of the police station but with the curved brick archways it looked like they must have grabbed some Sydney Greek restaurant on a quiet day!

I HATE the title of this show. I looked at it a few times before deciding I'd give it a go. I already watch quite a few really good crime drama's so adding another one didn't really appeal but I recognised a few of the actors so thought I'd watch one episode and take it from there.
I have to admit I like it. This show isn't just about the crimes committed so if you're looking for gore, guts and dexter-esque scenes then your going to be disappointed. This focuses on the complicated relationship between the leads and a few other characters while they work together in the homicide department. This isn't clear in the description so I can understand why some are disappointed when they watch it. I like that you find out who the killer is in the 1st episode then after that you can see all the connections the detectives can't.
I ended up watching the 1st 3 episodes back to back. This isn't a ground breaking show but I find myself investing in the characters.

I found this show on the internet. It's from Australia. It's a cop show with a love triangle. It's got a variety of people bitten by sharks who cope with it. The cops solve murders while a serial killer lurks among them. I find it entertaining. If you want a decent fun show and a little escapism...this is it. 8.

I enjoy a good cop series with strong dedicated characters that get stuck into solving crime.
However these guys are hell bent on saving their love lives with a complete detachment to the job
The directors lack the capacity to tell the story visually and instead smash us constantly with tight shots of faces that we barely know and we miss once again the important aspects of the crime scene.
Sorry guys.... just the same old stuff! Boring.

What's not to love?
Beautiful Manly Beach in Sydney as a location, good Aussie actors, beautiful people, beautiful photography and a murder mystery with twists.

Feels like Wonderland/Home&Away/ every other Australian 'soap'. Just a darker underscore. Directed by poor story tellers. Audiences are not interested in the soapy lives of weak characters. It's about crime but we hardly delve into the most interesting aspects of those who conceive and carry out the crimes committed. Instead we suffer through talking heads of the same actors desperately trying to give meaningful performances. We aren't shown the story. It's just jibberish and adolescent. They have brought in one 'star' in hopes of gaining an audience but inevitably we are tortured with the same tired product.

I think it was great, I love seeing aussie actors in different roles and loved the suspense that was in each show and the frustration of knowing what's going on but waiting for them to work it out!!
The Australian film/TV industry is decades old and this is what gets dished up in 2018 ?! God help us. To think this can compete on the international stage is the definition of self delusion. With scripts, acting and directing we have just got to do better, and we can.

We might know who the killer is but the wrist and turns add to the suspense in every episode.
The last one will get your adrenaline going

My wife and I so enjoyed every episode and especially the very exciting ending. Please say you have another series lined up for retired people like us.

This TV show is absolutely ridiculous! Have they not seen or are aware of sharks and the facts surrounding these animals. Bite Club and the idea of sharks as predators against humans is not the right publicity for these amazing animals. As a diver - sharks are not the issue its people and the way they present sharks is the issue. Do not watch thus series!

Watched week 1 and liked it. Week 2 hmmm. Week 3 changed the channel. For me the annoyance was the very ordinary overseas actor Monaghan. Australia you can do so soooo much better than this. Where has our great television industry gone...the days of the great Crawford productions.!
