Meg Ryan Defends Son Jack Quaid Of ‘Nepo Baby’ Label: “That Nepo Stuff Is So Dismissive Of His Work Ethic”
Image
Meg Ryan is not standing by silently and letting people label her actor son Jack Quaid a nepo baby, a term used for kids of famous parents. Quaid is the son of Ryan and actor Dennis Quaid.

In a new interview, Ryan defends her son of the label, calling it “dismissive.”

“Jack is really talented. He’s more of a natural than I’ll ever be. That nepo stuff is so dismissive of his work ethic, his gifts, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege,” she told Glamour magazine.

Quaid currently stars in Amazon’s Prime Video series The Boys in the role of Hugh “Hughie” Campbell. Ryan recalled Quaid’s talent when he starred in a play he was cast in at school.

“I remember seeing him in a middle school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Ryan says. “He was playing Bottom. I was newly divorced from his dad,...

The Boys Star Comments on Brief Role in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Image
After years of anticipation, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has made its way to movie theaters. The animated superhero sequel features a wide array of Spider-People from alternate realities, and an ensemble voice cast has been enlisted to bring the various web-slingers to life. Leading the cast are Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Earth-42's Spider-Man, alongside Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, a Spider-Woman from another universe.

In the new film (Mild Spoilers Ahead), a brief scene reveals the Peter Parker from this Gwen Stacy's universe. That incarnation of Peter is voiced by Jack Quaid. Taking to Twitter after the movie was release, Quaid offered some high praise to the movie while letting his followers know about his own involvement as a part of the cast, albeit briefly.

Quaid tweeted, "Saw Spider-Verse. Loved Spider-Verse. I’m *technically* In Spider-Verse (for like a second). I can’t say enough good things about this movie.

‘Harvey Girls Forever’: Brendan Hay and Aliki Theofilopoulos Look Back on Their Hit Netflix Series
https://youtu.be/nRAGD_jwozA Listen / download here: In our final interview with Harvey Girls Forever executive producer Brendan Hay and supervising producer Aliki Theofilopoulos, we look back over four seasons and 52 episodes of the Harvey Street Kids series. Season 4 was an absolute delight, one that continued the trend of successful storytelling that the previous seasons delivered while having the unenviable task of tying up the stories of Audrey, Lotta, Dot, and all the other kids before they were called in for dinner. It's a bittersweet ending, because even though the finale gave us a fitting send-off, …...
