And the worst part; the big plot twist, is extremely obvious while in the original movie Contratiempo it isn't at all.
The story of two men who are swayed by a past unsolved case. Businessperson Adriano finds his mistress dead and is accused of murder. Driven into a desperate situation, he hires Virginia, a skilled lawyer who is undefeated. Virginia engages in a psychological war with Adriano to prove his innocence, but Adriano seems to be hiding something ....
The best part of this movie is the psychological war between the lawyer and the suspect. Virginia uncovers the darkness deep inside Adriano's heart with skillful questioning and sharp insight. In particular, the episode about his past car accident seemed to highlight the darkness inside Adriano.
Watching this movie reminded me of the depth of the human heart. Adriano is a man who has achieved success but continues to suffer from past mistakes. He keeps repeating lies to cover up his crimes, but Virginia's incisive questions remove them one by one and eventually he loses everything.
Virginia, on the other hand, is not a perfect person. She does her best to exonerate her client, but there are glimpses of her ambition and fame behind her. The complex psychological portrayal of the two characters makes the film even more profound and interesting.
Personally, the film was full of highlights, including the psychological warfare between the lawyer and the suspect, the beautiful visuals, and the heavy story of the darkness of the human mind.

Watched this on a long plane flight - well constructed and enjoyed the acting and process. It was more rewarding than many a 'who done it' with some interesting twists. OK, the guys not likeable but the ups and downs are well constructed - worth seeing if it ever comes your way
Unfortunately metacritic is missing on italian movies... so i based my choice on user rating (6.9, today) and it was way to bad... this movie worth barely 2 or 3...
from soap opera acting from all the players, to the soundtrack, probably found on a free stock website under the 'thriller' category, pedantic as a man constanly hitting your shoulder saying 'ehi ehi it's a thriller ehi ehi'...
and not to mention the great final twist wich is absolutely crystal clear after 10 minutes from the beginning of the movie...
A character of this film use to say (for a dozen boring times) that details are important... and so i say to the guys who made this, please look again at the news on tv that are showed during the movie... is really poorly implemented, it's exactly the kind of stuff people do at high school when they want to play at beeing film-maker.
i wish i've never choose this movie...
This movie is a very fake copy of it's spanish version! "Invisible guest" or "contratiempo" and shame on you for this fake copy!!! Awful!
