It looks like the museum isn’t done with its nightly adventures just yet. A brand-new movie from the Night at the Museum franchise is in the works, according to Variety. This time, it’s not a sequel but a fresh reimagining with all-new characters and a different story. The movie is being developed by 20th Century Studios and 21 Laps Entertainment.
Tripper Clancy has been hired to write the script. He’s known for movies and shows like Stuber, I Am Not Okay With This, and the Die Hart series. The project is being produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Levine, with Emily Morris overseeing it for 21 Laps.

20th Century Studios is resurrecting another one of its dormant franchises. New life will be breathed into Night at the Museum, the beloved fantasy series starring Ben Stiller and Robin Williams.
According to Deadline, 21 Laps has begun development on a reimagining of Night at the Museum for 20th Century Studios, with Tripper Clancy tapped to write the script. The screenwriter is best known for writing the 2019 buddy action flick Stuber, starring Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani, and the Kevin Hart-led Roku series Die Hart. Unfortunately, the upcoming Night at the Museum reimagining comes with a catch that will likely disappoint longtime fans of the original film trilogy. The new installment is not expected to bring back any cast members and will instead be a "new story set at the museum with all-new characters."

Knock knock. Who’s there? Oh, just Dave Bautista and a group of his closest friends who are here to tell you about the apocalypse and how either you or one of your loved ones needs to die to save the world. Just regular stuff! If this premise intrigues you, then you should join the hoards of folks flocking to Netflix to watch M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin. According to FlixPatrol, the title is currently crushing it on the streamer in a slew of different countries, like Argentina, Guatemala, Honduras, and Venezuela. Dave Bautista is gearing up for his next feature film project, with a director, writer, and cast already assembled for the upcoming production. The actor has had a quiet year as of late, as Bautista's only major film released this year was the Paul W.S. Anderson film In The Lost Lands, which Bautista starred in alongside Milla Jovovich, which received poor reviews upon its release. Now, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor will star in another action film in what sounds like an exciting ensemble piece with impressive talent behind it.
According to a new report from Deadline,Trap House will have a wide theatrical release on November 14. The newly launched U.S. distribution company Aura Entertainment is handling the release. The film also reunites Bautista with a previous collaborator on a comedy film released in 2019.

Indonesian star Iko Uwais, beloved by international action aficionados for his brutal and balletic work in Gareth Evans’ The Raid: Redemption and later performances in the Expendables and Skyline franchises, is stepping behind the camera as a producer and director. In late January, the action hero unveiled his new namesake Jakarta-based production banner, Uwais Pictures. Since exploding onto the scene in the early 2010s with his fully formed silat martial arts mastery, Uwais has gone on to appear in productions across the world, including Snake Eyes, Stuber, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the Netflix series Wu Assassins, for which he also served as lead fight choreographer and executive producer.

Fallout is already regarded as one of the best live-action video game adaptations of all time, and for good reason. Featuring stellar acting and polished visuals, it did not take long for Prime Video to renew Fallout for a second season. Although news about Season 2 has remained behind closed doors, a new casting addition may have just leaked online. One of the more underrated MCU stars from the past few years is joining another adaptation of an iconic franchise in Fallout Season 2.
According to industry reporter Jeff Sneider, Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani is set to join the second season of Fallout. Known for also starring in The Big Sick, Stuber, and the award-winning HBO comedy Silicone Valley, Nanjiani should prove to be another fascinating addition to the genre-bending post-apocalyptic series. It's easy to see how he would fit in with the hilariously dark and twisted show, especially thanks to his comedic talents.

Professional wrestler turned actor Dave Bautista recently starred in an action comedy film called The Killer's Game, and the movie's poor reception has many wondering where the project went so wrong. The Killer's Game follows a hit man who discovers he has a terminal illness. As a result, he decides to put out a hit on himself. However, when he realizes that the hit is also targeting his ex-girlfriend, he must fight tooth and nail to save her life and perhaps even win her back. The movie was released on September 13, 2024.

After getting away with pulling off the Batista Bomb in one film, Bautista says he's now obsessed with trying to get one into every movie he makes from now on.

The Dcu has several projects in active development, including a live-action ‘Booster Gold’ TV series. James Gunn recently confirmed that the show is in active development but won’t begin production in the near future.
Despite this, rumors about casting the lead role have been circulating. Due to their connections with Dcu head James Gunn, both Antony Starr and Chris Pratt have been linked to the role of Booster Gold.
NexusPoint News has reported that Kumail Nanjiani has been cast as Booster Gold. However, it’s advisable to approach this news with caution as they haven’t provided substantial evidence to support the claim, apart from a vague social media post that suggests Nanjiani may now be involved with the Dcu.

Dcu has plenty of projects currently being in development and actively being worked on, and one of them is a live-action ‘Booster Gold’ TV series. Recently, James Gunn revealed that the show is being actively worked on but it’s not going to go into production anytime soon.
Still, this didn’t stop the rumors related to casting the titular character from spreading, and due to their connections to the Dcu head, James Gunn, both Antony Starr and Chris Pratt were connected to the character.
Now NexusPoint news reports that Kumail Nanjiani was cast as Booster Gold, but take this with a grain of salt considering that they failed to provide significant evidence to support the claim besides one X post that seems to imply that Nanjiani is now a part of a Dcu.

Lionsgate has launched the first official trailer for J. J. Perry's upcoming action comedy The Killer's Game, which is every bit as bloody as you'd expect as we see Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy; Dune; Blade Runner 2049) step into the shoes of an assassin who must survive the aftereffects of a hit he put out on himself.
As per the synopsis, "when top hitman Joe Flood (Dave Bautista) is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take matters into his own hands – by taking a hit out on himself. But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend (Sofia Boutella) , he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it’s too late."

Dune: Part Two actor Dave Bautista has once again teased playing Bane in the DC Universe, sharing art by BossLogic on his Instagram account.
Bautista, who is best known among comic book fans for playing Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently posted on his Instagram story an image by popular artist BossLogic that depicts him as the iconic Batman supervillain Bane. The wrestler-turned-actor has repeatedly discussed in past interviews being interested in playing Bane in a DC movie, mentioning in 2021 that Bane was a character that he had "latched on to over the past 10, 20 years." However, in January 2023, Bautista said that he feared he was too old to play Bane in the Dcu, believing the universe needed younger actors in order to succeed.

Star Wars is one of the most iconic movie and TV franchises and has experienced continual growth over the past decades. Initially created by George Lucas, the new Star Wars content upholds his legacy through the genius storytelling and cinematic experiences that producers such as Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau offer on-screen. As the release of Star Wars TV shows becomes more and more frequent, it makes it harder to fully appreciate every single detail that these series have to offer.
Actors playing the more prominent roles in the Star Wars TV shows, such as Pedro Pascal and Ewan Gordon McGregor, often take away from the less-relevant characters. There are, therefore, a multitude of brilliant actors who are forgotten in the Star Wars TV shows. From Neil Patrick Harris to Liam Neeson, Star Wars has a lot of talent to offer.

Anyone who knows and loves a theater kid understands that they can be… a little much. To their credit, theater kids accept and embrace this reputation. Both the excessiveness of theater kids and their willingness to celebrate their extremities can be seen in the comedy Theater Camp, directed by Molly Gordon and Nick Lieberman. After winning over critics and earning a strong, if limited, return in theaters, Theater Camp has come to Hulu.
Based on a short film that Gordon and Lieberman made with Ben Platt and Noah Galvin, Theater Camp features a group of theater kids trying to save their camp from the founder’s jerky son, who wants to sell it off for something more profitable. Both self-aware and sincere, Theater Camp is a love letter to the over-the-top nerds who can sing every word of A Chorus Line and know that Andrew Rannells was in Street Sharks.

In contrast to a number of "standalone" films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "Guardians of the Galaxy" was notable upon its release in 2014 for containing a fantastic ensemble cast right out of the gate (as opposed to 2012's "The Avengers" being built of characters established in earlier films). The film made Chris Pratt a marquee leading man, gave Zoe Saldaña a third famous character who frequents alien planets, and made us believe that a raccoon and a tree could not only talk but sound like Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, respectively.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have been to the SXSW Film Festival twice before — for 2013’s “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” which they wrote, and 2019’s “Stuber,” which they produced. But when the pair debut the action-comedy “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” as the opening film of the annual Austin event this Friday, it will be the first time they’ve done so as directors. They couldn’t be more excited.
“It’s the perfect setting for this movie,” Goldstein says, sitting in the Paramount lot office he shares with Daley, for an interview with Variety about the release of their latest movie.
“It feels like the quintessential South By film,” Daley adds. “It’s big and all-encompassing but there’s also something a little bit subversive about it.”
If it wasn’t for a Chicago Cubs game and a lightning-fast superhero, however, it may have never happened.

When compared to other wrestlers who have crossed over into acting in mainstream films, Dave Bautista has an impressive career path. Whereas The Rock has become the powerhouse producer/megastar, Dwayne Johnson, and John Cena has mostly geared his resume toward comedic projects, Bautista has worked on varying movies with filmmakers like Sam Mendes, Rian Johnson, Denis Villeneuve, Zack Snyder, James Gunn, and now M. Night Shyamalan. Variety is reporting that the muscular actor would love to star in a romantic comedy, but never seems to get any offers for them.
In an interview with Page Six, Bautista had this to say, “I know I’m not your typical rom-com lead. I’m a little rough around the edges. But I always, you know, I look in the mirror and I say, I ask myself, ‘Am I that unattractive? Is there something that unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?...

Dave Bautista’s filmography spans comic book movies (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), science-fiction tentpoles, action comedies (“Stuber”) and family movies (“My Spy”). One genre that’s missing is the romantic comedy, but that’s not been a deliberate choice. Bautista told Page Six that he’d love to star in a rom-com but he’s never gotten a single offer to do so. Not one.

“I don’t know,” Bautista added. “It’s just never come my way. I’ve never had an offer to do a rom-com. I still have high hopes. I’ll just keep searching.

Many, many wrestlers have attempted to transition into acting over the years. This has come with mixed results, ranging from disastrous to impressive. Heck, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is arguably the biggest, most recognizable star on the planet. Steve Howey has been cast in one of the lead roles in the CBS drama pilot based on the movie “True Lies,” Variety has learned exclusively.
Howey will star as Harry, the role played in the film by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The character is described as a benign, play-it-safe, seemingly risk-averse computer salesman and devoted family man, married with two kids. But in reality, Harry is an undercover operative, a first-class spy working for a covert U.S. Intelligence organization.

Actor Dave Bautista and director Brad Peyton are teaming up on “Universe’s Most Wanted,” a sci-fi fantasy about a small town’s fight to save the world. AGC Studios and CAA Media Finance are launching worldwide sales on the project in the coming weeks.
In addition to Bautista starring and Peyton directing, they will also produce “Universe’s Most Wanted.” F. Scott Frazier (“xXx: Return of Xander Cage”) and Jimmy Loweree wrote the script. The story centers on a small town that sees a space ship carrying the universe’s most wanted and dangerous criminals land in their backyard. The sheriff’s son soon becomes a hero as he works with an intergalactic peacekeeper (Bautista) to rally up the alien prisoners and keep them from taking over the world.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to get going on ‘Universe’s Most Wanted,'” Peyton said in a statement.

Hollywood star Dave Bautista says he was a shy and introvert kid. Bautista was a wrestler before Hollywood beckoned, and he says he now loves acting.
"I love it, it's my passion. It's different type of training, but for sure I put in a lot of passion into it absolutely. I was always a shy kid, I mean people even were surprised when I got into wrestling they just couldn't believe it. I was always an introvert," said the actor, who has become popular globally playing Drax the Destroyer in the "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and "Avengers" blockbusters.
