showing the direction that technology is moving

The story follows a company over two years as they attempt to create a fully functioning sex robot; meets a man who can't wait to own one. Those of us who have seen the series Humans and the movie Surrogates were awed by the possibility of the stories. This doc-movie is showing the direction that technology is moving. No wonder futurists are claiming end is near.

    truly cyber-active....

This docu takes you into a world of outermost, fabulous and magnificent art of sexual related toys. i'm fascinated how alive and brilliantly beautiful those sex/play dolls look, and i mean that every woman and man with a draw to this fetish/habbit in life really deserves one. it may also prevent commiting sexual crimes, can be a fantastic feature for disabled people, either with physical or emotional disabilities and may lower the need or use of real life prostitutes, and may cover the needs for lonesome people, men as women. though i feel sorry on behalf of the spouces /companions put forward in this documentary,i hope one of them will get a new set of teeth for x-mas.

i am surprised how low price it was for them. i wonder how they smell. its a film for everybody, and non-sexual in its presentation.have a look.....

    An interesting concept!

I stumbled upon "The Sexbots Are Coming" on Tubi. I was just looking for something fairly short to watch before bed. The concept of a robot doll that can carry on an everyday conversation is interesting.

Besides showing us the warehouse that these folks are being created and the people who are working on the project, we also get a glimpse into doll enthusiast James. James has multiple dolls in his home, with April being his favorite. Apparently his wife was away taking care of a family member and James felt lonely. He bought dolls to keep him company. It's sad that a married man such as James seems more into these dolls than his wife. I feel bad for her.

James also gets to be the first person to interact with Holly outside of her creators. The technology is neat, but I don't understand why someone would choose to have a "doll" over real human interaction.

This interesting in it's own way, but not something that I would watch again.
