Jacqueline Fernandes who was part of all previous Housefull films is not a part of this film. According to reports, as Sajid Khan is back directing the film, she was left out of the film after their break up.
A female background dancer had filed an FIR against a men on sets who tried to molest her. Akshay Kumar who found about this incident asked the dancer to report it to the police.
Sajid Khan quit the film as director after he was accused of sexual harassment by a journalist. Later on many females came forward to report about his misconduct with them including known actress Lara Dutt who worked with him in Housefull (2010) and Bipasha Basu who worked in Humshakaals (2014).
Akshay Kumar had stopped shooting for the film after Sajid Khan and Nana Patekar were slammed by sexual harassment cases. He decided not to work with them further.
Akshay Kumar's signature dance move in the song "Bala" was inspired by WWE legend Shawn Michaels crotch chop he would do when he was a part of D- Generation X.
