Again, an excellent cinematography by a young director. Extremely good script, excellent acting especially by Ravindra and one of the best direction ever in a Sri Lankan drama. Storyline tells you about a supporting peoples life of a young journalist under a corrupt political society.

It reveals the bitterly truth of the politics of Sri Lankan (and of many other corrupted countries). Ideal reveals of the thuggery that the politicians use to keep them in their beloved positions through controlling the media has been the understandable basis of the story. The drama is touching the hearts through the most wonderful pieces of music, the best ever composure in a Sri Lankan TV series.
Sahodaraya (Brother) takes care of the family of the late journalist (Rajiv) who paid with his life for trying to unveil the corrupt political background of the country. Sahodaraya's genuine attempts to awaken the society via the delusional discussions with Rajiv.
Simply fantastic !!!

Realistic teledrama which talks about real problems faced by people. Excellent script and direction teamed up with a super cast with mind blowing acting along with masterful background music. A must watch for fans of realistic dramas. Special mention for the acting of Chandani Seneviratne and Roshan Ravindra.
This is an amazing story believed the best Shinhala radical drama. Every episode I watch I was filled with depression and anger as it lay down all the bit and pieces of present Sri Lankan society. It allows us to foresee what we want as individuals and the reality of how to achieve. Surely the drama won't change the society as yet but it provide tremendous support to radical thinkers who love Sri Lanka. There is no enough work to appreciate this creation.

I rarely watch sinhala teledramas, because of poor scripts and common life styles jargon. But this SAHODARAYA, it is more political, and more humane. Telling us some bitter truth of life in its raw form. Acting is like music, it blend together to make a meditation.

The drama is a masterpiece which manifests the ugly truth of sociopolitical frame of Sri Lanka and the pointless effort made by few men to mark a change against mainstream political culture.
To the director - simply thought provoking, especially the part where this men believe to make an impact through pen and paper in order to awaken humanity.

This is truly an epic cinematography! A sri lankan legend and a timeless creation
It has everything!
By way of a disguised (bromance) relationship/ discourse between two social activists, the creator attempts to capture the essence of a collapsing socio-cultural system in Sri Lanka. He do this so artistically and creatively than any other cinematography before, that this drama speaks directly to your heart, intellect and to your soul. He does not stop at just highlighting the issues though. For those who share this pain and wanting to answer his call, the drama also presents a solution, one which each individual "sahodaya" (brother or sister for that matter) can execute for the betterment of the society.
The abilities and the performances of the cast is unbelievably good!
Music composing deserves its own review! It is on another scale!
The story/ screen writing has so much depth that it is like learning Sri Lanka's socio-political evolution.
For me This is the Best TV Show. This TV show goosebumps me in every second. Best Cast + Best Sound Director + Best Director
One of the best teledramas to surface in the history of Sri Lankan television. What a marvelous masterpiece. The story is astonishing and enlightening. One who could sit on a sensitive place could enjoy the flaw of feelings throughout the series. Music was on point. Touched the deep bottom of my soul. Thank you for this masterpiece and bless you for more like this.
