Interview with Sky Wang: I actually didn’t choose this project, because the project chose me, in a way
Sky Wang is an award winning director. His debut feature film “Lost in Apocalypse” has won over 80 awards and received 40-plus nominations. Sky was born in Mainland China and eventually moved to the United States. He graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a degree in film where he directed numerous shorts.

On the occasion of the film screening at the Fractured Visions Film Festival, we spoke with him about his casting process, working with actors and the music used in “Lost in Apocalypse”.

Film Review: Lost in Apocalypse (2018) by Sky Wang
“Lost in Apocalypse” is a Chinese zombie film directed by Sky Wang. The film is Wang’s feature debut and is based on a comic of the same name by Ruibo Cao. “Lost in Apocalypse” won Best Horror film at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Awards. It also won Best Debut Film Maker plus Best Horror / Science Fiction Genre Feature Film Award at the 2018 Calcutta International Cult Film Festival.

Lost in Apocalypse screened at Fractured Visions Film Festival

We start at the half way point of the film with the characters on the run and then flash back to the beginning of the outbreak. I found the way the story is told at the beginning of the film very unique. If you didn’t know this was a zombie movie you wouldn’t really know what you are getting into.

Children Of The Fall (Israel) – UK Premiere

Rachel Strode, a young immigrant with a dark past, arrives in Israel during the Fall of 1973 to volunteer in a Kibbutz and to convert to Judaism. Soon, she realises that the local Kibbutz members don’t take kindly to foreigners, and the evening of Yom Kippur (the most important holiday in the Jewish faith), brings a brutal threat to her and her fellow volunteers.
