Not as good as the original

This Norwegian low cost movie starring Atle Antonsen i 11 roles will make you smile and maybe laugh 6-7 times during its 85 minutes. It could have been much better; there are more than enough material to make about building and refurbishing a house. However, it could have been worse as well. The 1972 original is in a totally different class.

Hard to avoid comparing to the original

If you are a big fan of Atle Antonsen, then this movie might be a great experience, but I'm not sure anyway. I like Atle Antonsen, but this movie will not go into history as his greatest achievements. The chemistry between the main couple is quite awkward and really non-existing. Anne Marit Jacobsen is lifting a great deal of the movie, but Anders Christiansen drags the whole thing down with his "Dumb and dumber" impressions. The love between them are only expressed at the beginning, and even then it's not quite believable. In retrospect of the original, all the different characters of Atle Antonsen is not as believable as Wesenlund was in the original movie. Yes sometime it's funny, and yes he's funny most of the time, but not convincing enough to stand up as one or more main characters. This is more like a comedy series episode than a real movie, and I felt that the author was forcing me to focus on Atle's performances and plots, rather than the family's struggle to get their dream house.

It has potential :-D

I think the plot has potential to become a great movie if there's done an american remake:-D I think with the right actors, and some changes in the dialog,it could be great:-D The original lacks all this, and many of the funny moments falls through even if it should have been funny:-p So i hope for a remake:-D.
