Good film

Liked the story. We may see the not so bright part of NY and the different groups of people who try to survive. Worth seeing.

Could have been much better, but failed on multiple levels

Wooden, amateurish and cringe worthy acting, which is strange considering the fact that the male lead has acted in some serious movies. Awkward dialogue. No depth in the story. A strange surreal ambience (not in a good way) that portrays some reality, which feels unnatural and anachronistic. Overall, an amateurish execution that feels like a student film, which is a shame because the elements for an excellent movie seemed to be all there, but were simply not executed well.

An interesting musical score though. Enjoyed it a lot.

The most intimate character study you'll ever see!!! (There is a reason this movie got selected Un certain regard at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival)

This movie is intimate. In it's story, in it's potrayal of characters. There is something about the way the movie was filmed that makes it work. The choice of close-up which make majority of the movie, makes it personal. You feel what the characters are feeling. Watch this movie if you like character driven dramas.

So many feelings inside a movie

I had the extraordinary opportunity to meet the director back in late 2019, in a Q&A that took place in the Official Language School right after the screening in Gijon's Film Festival where I first saw the movie. She was so kind and committed to direct the film with heart and mind in the right place, taking a complex thematic involving the identity (in more ways than one) and staying true to the roots. The result is an electrifying movie, small but bigger than most out there, with fantastic performances and great atmosphere. Two thumbs way, way up!

Worth every second

94 minutes of watching a white man ruining everything he touches. It's amazing.

An exceptional romantic drama, even for non-LGBTQ

I stumbled onto this indie standout while surfing Amazon prime. The trailer seemed intriguing enough -- a man, new to New York, sees and becomes intrigued by an alluring woman, and sets out on a quest to find her. So I watched it; I'm glad I did.

I am not gay, nor do you have to be in order to enjoy this well-paced, beautifully-filmed story about a man coming to understand personal connection and appreciate true love.

For much of the film, the audience is kept wondering about the pretty, mysterious women who always seems to be just out of reach of the man whose interest she has attracted. How will they meet? If they meet, will they like each other? Will the troubled young man be able to handle a loving relationship with this New York woman -- and all of the self-assuredness, openness, and realness that comes with being a "New Yorker"?

It is a truly remarkable film that all fans of romantic dramas should watch.
