Les chroniques de la peur (2017)

Trivia

Les chroniques de la peur

Edit
The color purple is seen in every episode whenever the supernatural enters the story.
More than one actor plays The Curious, the masked child who bookends each episode. The character is in fact a real life legend about a hooded masked figure that has shown up in photographs and accounts of the unexplained all over the world for more than a century. It was the program-makers' conclusion that the presence of this unearthly child was a signifier that a paranormal event was about to take place, but that his presence was not malevolent.
The Creeped Out universe is interconnected. For instance, Patty Peterson is mentioned in both Slapstick (2017) and Kindlesticks (2018). The setting of Karter Bay appears in both Slapstick and The Call (2017). And Zucco's - a restaurant - is mentioned in several episodes.
According to creators Bede Blake and Robert Butler, a big inspiration was Steven Spielberg and Histoires fantastiques (1985) in particular, as they wanted to explore the wonder of the supernatural as much as the psychological horror.
As of 2024, no third season has been confirmed but it was revealed that after the second season ended, a theatrical spin-off film titled ''Creeped Out Presents Vampyr by Night'', written by series writer Emma Campbell but was not made due to a lack of interest. The premise would've focused on a recently divorced wife discovering that her estranged teen daughter has become a vicious vampire under a new gang of friends and their leader, a crooked reverend.
