Warning: The following contains major spoilers for Yellowjackets Season 3: Episode 6, “Thanksgiving (Canada).”
Fans of Showtime’s feminist horror series Yellowjackets have been dying for answers to two major questions: who will the girls eat while stranded in the woods and how will survivors of that horrific plane crash eventually find their way home? While larger mysteries still remain, the latest episode brings us one step closer to uncovering the truth.
After an excruciating murder/execution, the girls “honor” Coach Ben Scott (Steven Krueger) with a ritualistic feast which descends into chaos. In the present day timeline, Misty (Christina Ricci) continues to investigate Lottie (Simone Kessell)’s murder while Van (Lauren Ambrose) begins to wonder who Taissa (Tawny Cypress) really is.
The episode’s final moments leave us on one hell of a cliffhanger while taking the 1997 timeline in a bloody new direction.

When you've been an integral part of a sitcom phenomenon that's been popular for over a decade, it can be easy for people to just see an actor in the confines of their character. It may seem impossible to look at Jim Parsons and not think of Sheldon Cooper, but his work in "Hidden Figures" and "The Boys in the Band" shows an actor that's able to break free beyond the "bazinga" stigma. Simon Helberg has certainly had one of the most interesting careers of the "Big Bang Theory" bunch, having directed his own feature ("We'll Never Have Paris") in addition to starring in films directed by Leos Carax ("Annette") and the Coen Brothers ("A Serious Man").
But since the show's finale, it's Kaley Cuoco who has remained the most prevalent in the spotlight. Although she made waves in 2020 with the critically acclaimed Max original series "The Flight Attendant," she's...

It might come as a surprise that Netflix has never had its own English-language medical drama. Not that those shows are easier to make than any other genre, but there sure have been enough of them on television over the last several decades that Netflix might have made making one a priority. They didn't, but they are now.
Given a network-level budget, Pulse, starring Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell, will debut on Thursday, April 3. There will be a first-time creator, Zoe Robyn, in charge with the help of veteran showrunner, Carlton Cuse. Cuse might be best known for his work on the iconic series Lost.
The plot line involves a hospital in Miami that is beginning to deal with the effects of a hurricane hitting the area. The issue is that there is drama among the doctors. Chief Resident Dr. Xander Phillips, played by Woodell, has been suspended, and third-year resident Dr.

Fresh off the success of Max's hit original medical drama procedural The Pitt, Netflix will next stop up to the plate with its first English-language medical procedural Pulse. While Max's breakout series follows a team of emergency room doctors throughout one 15-hour shift, Pulse takes a page out of Grey's Anatomy's book and finds the doctors mixing business with pleasure.
On Feb. 18, Netflix formally announced Pulse complete with a release date and first-look images of Willa Fitzgerald, Colin Woodell, Justina Machado and the rest of the cast in action. All 10 episodes of the first season will drop on Thursday, April 3 on Netflix. Unlike The Pitt, Pulse isn't a medical drama you will have to wait to watch weekly. We'll be able to binge the full season all at once.

It's hard to make a successful network television show. It's even harder to make a successful spin-off of a successful series. Audiences have a certain expectation and, when it comes time to follow another character or two elsewhere, it can get tricky. But CBS hit it out of the park with "Young Sheldon," which focused on a young Sheldon Cooper as he was growing up in Texas long before the events of "The Big Bang Theory," itself one of the most successful sitcoms of the 2000s.
Because "Young Sheldon" takes place decades before the events of the show that inspired it, it was difficult to have characters from "The Big Bang Theory" show up. Kaley Cuoco's stance on The Big Bang Theory spinoff makes the Young Sheldon finale flashforward scene so much more frustrating. Despite its continued success, CBS canceled Young Sheldon due to canon. Per The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon's childhood in Texas ended when he was 14, and despite countless plot inconsistencies in the past, the producers opted to follow continuity. Still, at the very least, Young Sheldon delivered a great send-off to the boy genius and his beloved family with a two-part finale. That said, this doesn't mean that it didn't have any issues, with clear ways to make it better.
The Young Sheldon finale was defined by two big storylines: the death of George and Sheldon's move from Texas to California for his post-graduate studies at Caltech. Because the show wrapped up in a significantly shortened year, Chuck Lorre and his creative team had to be as concise with its storytelling as possible.

Since its release on Netflix in December 2024, the dark comedy series No Good Deed has been an instant fan favorite. During the first week of the new year, the show remains in the top 10 most popular shows ranking, proving that viewers are still discovering the end-of-the-year hidden gem and on the edge of their seats with every unpredictable twist and turn.

Now that 2024 has come to a close, it’s official, Netflix once again handed out the most cancellations in the calendar year – though at this point, I don’t think anyone will find this surprising. While the streaming platform has gotten better as the years have gone by in giving shows final seasons and the chances to establish themselves with audiences, the streaming platform continues to have some of the biggest cancellation rates in the business and 2024 was no different.
In total, Netflix canceled 16 shows in 2024 while also handing six additional shows their walking papers with final season orders which are about as close to cancellations as you can get the only difference being that those lucky six shows will get to actually wrap up their runs with proper sendoffs. So when you combine the two groups, Netflix decided to end a whopping 22 shows in 2024 be it by canceling them directly or ordering final seasons.

All good things have to come to an end. We don’t like it, but at least some shows are given the chance to wrap up on their own terms. This was the case for the five TV shows on this list for 2024.
We’re only looking at those that were either final seasoned or wrapped when they wanted to. They had the time to tell their full story—or at least, full enough to be able to bring fans closure. We’re not including those that were abruptly and unfairly canceled.
These shows not only brought an ending that worked for their stories, but they brought consistently good writing and fun storytelling. These are the five shows that we would have loved to see more of that we said goodbye to in 2024.

Laid star Tommy Martinez breaks down why his recreation of “Come Alive” from The Greatest Showman was so terrifying. The series follows Everything Everywhere All at Once star Stephanie Hsu as Ruby, an event planner who discovers that her former flames are suddenly dying. Laid also features Zosia Mamet and Michael Angarano. On the show, Martinez's character Isaac hires Ruby to plan his parents’ anniversary party, and the two bond over her love of musicals.
In an interview with Screen Rant's Grant Hermanns, Martinez detailed the behind-the-scenes stress of recreating the iconic musical number from The Greatest Showman. The actor delved into his initial nerves about the choreography and how the pressures of performing in front of Laid's full production crew made the scene where Isaac surprises Ruby with the elaborate dance number even more daunting. Here's what he had to say:
I wouldn't necessarily call myself a dancer.

Once all of her former sex partners start dying off, often in strange ways, Ruby and her roommate Aj (Zosia Mamet) try to solve the mystery of what's going on.
In an interview with Screen Rant's Grant Hermanns, Khan and McKenna talk about why some of the guest appearances from the likes of Shang-Chi and Barbie star Simu Liu are more than just cameos. In the quotes below, McKenna talks about how the eight-episode series approached Ruby's sex timeline and was able to bring notable actors through that process.

As pithy summations for TV series go, that line from the new Peacock comedy Laid is pretty tough to beat. The series, created by Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna, and starring Stephanie Hsu and Zosia Mamet, has a particularly high-concept premise: Ruby (Hsu), who has compiled a long and messy sexual history without ever finding a relationship that works, discovers that everyone she has ever slept with is dying. Besides earning recognition for curating some of the most out-of-the-box entertaining storylines and maintaining authenticity across it all, Taylor Sheridan is also rather famous for having at least one female baddie in his projects. Like the way he drafted Kelly Reilly’s fan-favorite character in the Yellowstone saga: The brave, bold, and fierce Beth Dutton.

Since similar characters can be found in his other series as well, we have found just the perfect actress who could serve as the new badass female lead in the slew of upcoming shows that Sheridan already seems to have on his To-Do list. This would be none other than the fan-beloved Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory. And the best part? She seems to be interested as well!

On paper, The Big Bang Theory was a major gamble on Chuck Lorre’s part, as, unlike his previous works, the sitcom centered around a bunch of nerds, which didn’t exactly have mainstream appeal at the time. But thanks to the writing and some impeccable performances from the main cast, the gamble paid off, cementing Tbbt‘s status as one of the most celebrated inclusions in Lorre’s filmography.

Good mysteries are crammed with sneaky clues and red herrings, which makes rewatching them a delight. On a second viewing, passing comments can take new meaning, and seemingly innocuous decisions are imbued with surprising importance. While this can't be said for every television mystery show, many get better and better each time you see them.
In the most obvious sense, knowing the answer to a mystery helps the audience spot hints that have been peppered throughout a program, but that's far from the only benefit. If a mystery is engaging, then the audience spends much of their initial watch effectively playing along with the protagonist, uncertain of the veracity of what they're seeing and constantly suspicious of whom to trust. But since fans know each character's motive during a repeat viewing, they often find themselves seeing these individuals in an entirely new light.

Whenever a new streaming service shows up, it brings with it a myriad of exciting new shows that are charged with carving a brand identity for the platform, and offering something unique to stand out from the Too Much TV era. When it came to Max, the one to watch for canceled shows, one of the most exciting titles that not many people watched was "Tokyo Vice."
This moody thriller with a narratively complex story of crime and journalism boasted Michael Mann as an executive producer, and also the director of the pilot episode. It was a lavish production with unparalleled access to filming locations in Japan. Indeed, the most unique thing about "Tokyo Vice," and reason alone to watch the show, was that this was the first major American TV show to film entirely in Japan — which not even "Shogun" managed to accomplish. Never before has a scripted production...

The Westside Ripper is back (or is he?) in the comedy-crime series’ second season.
Kaley Cuoco has found her stride post “Big Bang Theory,” first with “The Flight Attendant” (Season 1 is awesome), and now with the returning dark comedy series, “Based on a True Story.” This was one of my favorite shows of 2023 (it lands No. 3 on my list of favorite comedy murder mystery TV shows on streaming), and I’m so happy it’s back. Plot: Season two finds new parents Ava and Nathan Bartlett three months into parenthood. Focused on taking care of her family, Ava is determined to resist her true crime obsession and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan trains private tennis clients. But a series of new murders pulls her back in – is Matt behind the slayings? Is Tory, now entangled in a relationship with Matt, in danger? For a while, life is good — Ava’s TikTok habit and her new friend Drew provide a welcome distraction, and Nathan’s all in on reigniting his tennis career as well as his friendship with Matt — until danger comes knocking, literally.
Review: When the first season of Based on a True Story dropped last year on Peacock, I was not impressed with the story of a couple who started their own true-crime podcast with input from a real serial killer.

Kaley Cuoco's crime show has debuted with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score for season 2. While she has many credits to her name, Cuoco is best known for playing Penny in all 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory, in which she brought many of the funniest and most heartfelt scenes to life throughout the CBS sitcom's run. Penny's friendship with Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) became a particularly celebrated element of the series. Prior to The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco played Bridget Hennessy in the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules.
After The Big Bang Theory ended, Cuoco starred in and produced HBO's The Flight Attendant. The series blended elements of dark comedy and drama as Cuoco's complex character, Cassie Bowden, worked to solve mysterious murders while navigating her own struggles with alcoholism. Cuoco has also voiced Harley Quinn in the popular adult animated series of the same name since 2019, and starred...

Santiago Cabrera spent two seasons on Star Trek: Picard playing Captain Cristobal Rios, a renegade captain who was once a member of Starfleet. Though his character was dropped, albeit with a slightly understandable wrap-up at the end of season two, he was missed in season three. Unfortunately, the budget wouldn't allow for all of the stars from the past two season of Picard to return as the actors from Star Trek: The Next Generation were coming aboard in another shot at a goodbye movie for the former series.
Cabrera moved on and has since been seen in The Flight Attendant and The Cleaning Lady and has a starring role in Apple TV's Land of Women. Long before any of these series, though, the South American actor was prepping for another role. In 2007, he'd been tapped to play Aquaman in Justice Leage: Immortal. Peacock’s upcoming espionage thriller, Ponies, has cast Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus) opposite Emilia Clarke in a series regular role. She will portray Twila, a small-town girl who is as abrasive as she is fearless.
Set in Moscow in 1977, the series follows two Ponies (“persons of no interest” in intelligence speak) who work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. That is until their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the Ussr, and the pair become CIA operatives. Bea (Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Alongside her cohort, Twila, they work to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.
Susanna Fogel serves as executive producer, director, and co-writer alongside executive producer and co-writer David Iserson and executive producer Mike Daniels.
Ponies was co-created by Fogel and Iserson. Iserson and Daniels will serve as showrunners. Executive producers are Emilia Clarke and Jessica Rhoades via her Pacesetter Productions. Pacesetter EVP Alison Mo Massey will co-ep alongside Katherine Bridle. The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Richardson is represented by Gersh and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.

What would you do to get the house of your dreams? And if you were trying to sell that house, what would you do to cover up a secret that would drive the price down if anyone found out?
Those are the questions you’ll ponder during “No Good Deed,” a darkly comic thriller series from “Dead to Me” creator Liz Feldman. It revolves around a beautiful house in a desirable L.A. neighborhood owned by Paul (Ray Romano) and Lydia (Lisa Kudrow), who are trying to sell the house to escape the dark secret the house holds for them. The potential buyers include Luke Wilson, Linda Cardellini, Abbi Jacobson and Poppy Liu, and Teyonah Parris and O-t Fagbenle, who are locked in an intense competition for the house. And Denis Leary is poking around, too. The twisty story turns to cover-ups, blackmail, and murder, because that’s what it takes in this market.

Deals are still being finalized but the comedy is expected to get a series order, I hear. Warner Bros. Television, where Cuoco and her Yes, Norman banner have a producing deal and Aniello & Downs as well as Statsky are under overall deals, is the studio.
Details about Kansas City Star are sketchy but it is described by sources as a comedy with heart starring Cuoco as a semi-famous actress who returns to her hometown to work with a regional theater troupe. Reps for HBO and Wbtv declined comment.

After 12 seasons of playing the good-hearted Penny on "The Big Bang Theory" (deemed the show's most likable character by /Film), Kaley Cuoco had a taste for something darker, wilder, but still, in its way, funny. She alighted on a sharply written novel by Chris Bohjalian called "The Flight Attendant," which, along with show developer Steve Yockey, she expanded into a two-season series about the alcohol-induced misadventures of Cassie Bowden. That's the thumbnail sketch, at least.
Boiling "The Flight Attendant" down to its hook does it something of a disservice. Yes, it starts as a murder mystery wherein a drunk Cassie struggles to piece together the events of the night that led to her ending up in bed with a dead man whose throat has been slashed, but once the FBI get involved it veers off in wholly unexpected directions. Then...

Before her tenure in The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco was notable for her stint in 8 Simple Rules, in which she starred opposite sitcom icon John Ritter, who played Cuoco’s onscreen father Paul. However, their bond wasn’t confined to their gigs on the show, as Cuoco has continued to gush about her time with the actor, who tragically passed away in 2003.

Although her connection with Ritter would come in handy during one guest star’s appearance in The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco wasn’t the lone Tbbt cast that shared a personal bond with the TV legend.

The Big Bang Theory franchise is now getting another spinoff of the original series, and people are naturally eager to know if the old main cast members will be reprising their roles. The untitled Big Bang Theory spinoff is expected to focus on Stuart (Kevin Sussman), with his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus) and Caltech scientist Bert (Brian Posehn) also returning. While these three may be the main characters, there is still potential for others to join the regular cast, as well as a wider range of Big Bang Theory characters who could return in Stuart's spinoff.
Since The Big Bang Theory's ending, the cast members have branched out to other movies and TV roles, proving their versatility as actors after being primarily associated with the same roles for so long. However, they may still choose to return to their once-popular characters in a regular capacity if they miss working...
