Patrick Cassir and Camille Chamoux chose Bulgaria as the first holiday space because they wanted a place that was not quite ready for tourism yet. According to the two co-writers, Bulgaria offers indeed beaches where the sea is not quite blue, where the concrete is more present than the sand, where the food is a little indefinable for French.
With "Premiere Holidays" ("Premières Vacances"), Patrick Cassir wanted to talk about the values within the couple: can one make a living with someone who is very different from oneself, someone whose political opinions one does not share, or the way of living the everyday life exactly.
