Mass film for mass audience

Movie directors need to understand ..we have seen lots of masala movie and we can't take it more ...our new generation peoples are becoming smart to understand the depth of movie that impact their life not just some sloppy and useless mass audience film .. This was cringe Worthy when someone glorify a hero for his repulsiveness...

Yuvan Shankar Raja replaced Anirudh Ravichander as the film's composer. This is the second Dhanush sequel in which another composer replaces Anirudh Ravichander who scored for the first film, the other being Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014), in which Sean Roldan was the replacement.

Alternate versions
The UK release was cut, the distributor chose to remove scenes of strong violence in order to obtain a 12A classification. An uncut 15 classification was available.
