I want a second series, and maybe even a third. Everyone who has seen Marta loves her in this part. The action is fast paced with interesting, kooky characters. And then, there's the sexual tension between the two main characters.

Great casting and story lines. Brings a new twist on civilian involved crime solving using technology.

The first season is fun, even though plots are derivative if you've been watching English-speaking crime and detective shows. But still, fun, and an entertaining cast. But stop at the end of the first season. There's no cliff-hanger, so just enjoy it completed and move on, because the second season switches out an actor and it all goes downhill from there. And what's with switching out Ola's car?

While the action is set in Poland; with Polish speaking actors, if you can deal with subtitles your in for a treat. The storyline is set as a group of amateur sleuths help solve crimes the police may or may not want to deal with. Okay, okay it's a stretch but it's excellent cast and the shows fast pace makes this a surprise hit. I am on episode 5 and I am along for the ride. As of note; Polish TV has already renewed this for season 2; however that does not guarantee Netflix will pick up the 2nd season.

The fast pace was good and bad for me; it kept me interested, but it was too fast to be able to read the subtitles before they disappeared.

When I read that a citizen collective by the name Ultraviolet picks up crimes, uses smartphones, social media and a bit of critical thinking to solve crimes, I got interested. After the first two episodes, I was hooked to the series. This is not a series that one must binge watch, rather enjoy one episode everyday. I finished the first season and I am eagerly looking forward to season 2. While I'm doing that, I'm listening to the wonderful music from the series by Urbanski.

I am really enjoying this series - unexpectedly after a confusing and messy pilot episode - why I watched a second show is still a mystery but I am glad I did and finally had to write a review after watching most of season 1 - after reading a couple of reviews - I will however temper my enthusiasm for the second season - if it turns stupid , as some suggest - I will find better things to do - I will give it a chance - There have been several shows where producers and directors have gone brain dead this year - probably after effects of Covid 19 - by destroying good shows with terrible finals - "When Calls the Heart" comes to mind as the worst final disaster of a show I rated a 10 and now a 1 - in the history of TV. After Mangnum's final - don't waste you time on the next season - being bored is better.
But it's just getting sillier.
Season 1 I liked a lot, 7 stars, but season 2 is just getting ridiculous, the protagonist just keeps interfering in police proceedings, disregarding her own safety, and putting them all in danger for absolutely no reason but bad writing.
I get this is a light show, not meant to be taken so seriously, but really, it's getting close to stupid.
I really enjoyed this cute series and have watched it twice. Cute actors ( Ola, Pias & Michal are adorable - heck they all are) - modern and refreshing storyline - young, trendy, feel about it without trying too hard but also featuring a couple of mature actors so something for everyone. Couldn't believe that one of the scriptwriters worked on Dexter. Love the Polish setting. I highly recommend it.
UPDATE 2020 Series 2: The second series continues in a similar vein, did not disappoint and I binge watched it on Netflix. I really enjoyed this. Ola and Piast are terrific, the stories are well written and the Polish architecture and the episode in Krakow was beautiful. The amazing part for me is the acting is so good that I forget they are acting and start to believe it's a reality series or that Ola, Piast and Co are out there solving crimes. Fantastic! Would I be greedy to ask for another series??

This review is based on Season One, the only season out at the time I write this.
The general idea behind the show is reasonably good and most of the story lines are interesting and semi-believable. Good production values, generally well-acted. I find the lead character at times rather annoying, but these moments are usually brief.
I would say they were two flaws in the series, one of commission the other of omission. The former is the fact that it requires major suspension of disbelief to accept that the main character is generally tolerated by the police, and would most probably be incarcerated for her meddling in a couple of cases.
The omission is that, often, if not typically, in this genre, there is a meta-mystery or conspiracy which is unraveled as the season unfolds. Sometimes the conclusion to that mystery is not truly conclusive and so provides the basis for the following season. There is a possible meta-mystery introduced early in the season but other than occasionally being referenced, it is never advanced.
Decent show, could be better. I would watch a future season. Would be pleased if future seasons add some sort of long-arc deeper conspiracy/mystery element.

I started watching this with not very high expectations but what a pleasant surprise.
The technical stuff is ridiculous but who cares? It's fiction so it's entitled to make up its own rules.

I have to admit, I enjoy foreign crime series much better than American crime series. In my experience, in other countries the main characters are more developed, made to be experienced as more human and end up more likable than American crime drama series main characters. Ultraviolet is the first Polish tv series I have watched and, not only does it not disappoint, it has a refreshing POV on crime solving by using the amateur Internet sleuths. I LOVED IT!!!
I sure hope Netflix offers us the 2nd season, and more!!!!!

Unlike some other reviewers, I would much rather read subtitles than have anything dubbed into English.
Yes, some of the situations are ridiculous and some of the acting is a bit poor but considering some of the stinkers of series I've attempted to watch, this is pretty okay.
Don't go in expecting anything more than a formulaic "solved in one episode" series and you'll be pleasantly surprised. There are on-going storylines that are quite good and a few peripheral characters are acted well. The police characters are not amongst them, sadly.

Love this show. The stories are good and the involvement of amateur sleuths via social media and hacking is terrific.
The main character is an annoying Mary Sue! The rest of the series is alright.

Watched first episode only and gave up[. Bad as an American cop show. Bad acting, unbelievable coincidences and poor stories. The only good thing was the Lodz locale, a foreign location to me. There are better shows to watch.

I've watched a bunch of tv series from all of the world and believe me when I say, that this crime solving series is AWFUL. Why?
that would be all for now.
- bad acting,
- predictable stories,
- product placement (only 5s of a movie for only Opel logo),
- scenes that have unnatural or just unnecessary conversations,
- everything has to be SAID OUTLOUD there is no need for you to think
that would be all for now.
