My message to Turner Clay, should you read this.

I get* what you were initially doing with the films. Nothing over the top. Just enough to be unnerving but never enough to make a skeptic cry foul. 5 films in, however, you've kind of picked sides. Though you still present the movies as real, I can't imagine many people are still under that illusion. The fact that I've watched all 5 is a testament solely to how enjoyable you are as a character. These movies are nothing more than average without your character.

My point is that it's time to amp it up. Show us the supernatural. Throw it in our face. You're letting us off too easy. We know it's not real..and that's perfectly fine. You make them feel real enough that going full force with the scares and showing us ghosts won't hurt your films. They'll make them THAT much better. So, take a chance. Amp it up.

Actually good

This is actually a good movie. Considering it had no budget it does a good job, better then many medium budget found footage ghost movies.

It's short and sweet. I liked it.

I thought it was fun

Most of these fake "ghost hunting" things try too hard and take themselves too seriously. I really enjoyed this one. First, I don't believe in the paranormal so I just enjoyed it for what it was. A scripted look at what a "ghost hunt" might be like. The host was entertaining and it moved pretty well. It wasn't trying to be a "scary movie" or horror film so don't expect that. It was a "tongue-in-cheek" creation of what a supernatural investigation might look like if there really did turn out to be something creepy going on. It was a perfect length for my attention span, too! And I thank them from the bottom of my heart for not once using those super cheesy audio recording I often see in these things. "Did you hear that? It clearly said 'get out!'" No...it didn't.

It was a fun watch. Just my opinion.

I like it cause it's hilarious

The editing and timing are great. The acting is good and the guy is funny.

There is not one, not even a single iota of second that I thought this was real. If you're caught up over that alone, grow up.

If you're caught up over no jump scares, grow all the way up. It's not even classified as a mockumentary. Why would there be jump scares? Are you 12?

For some reason, the makers of this film left it up to the viewer to decide if it's real or if there is even purpose. I really don't care. It's a fun movie.

Some people actually believe it's real. I don't know why, but more power to them.

I actually got a little scared at the "climax"....it felt more or less real.

It's not nearly the best thing I've ever seen, but I enjoyed it. It's less than an hour. Fast-paced and straight to the point.

But I don't know what the point is other than to be entertaining and maybe to encourage people to make up their own mind.

Convincing enough

I liked this movie because it wasn't over acted and seemed pretty genuine. Enough that I just combed through my watch history to find it.(i forgot the title) it want the best, but it was entertaining and didn't seem to be super cheesy and phony like most of these kinds of movies.

fun and minimalistic

Pushing itself as a real life legit documentary, complete with not having a cast listing or director or anything on the description and only being an hour long, this one was surprisingly fun.

it has much of the hallmarks of a typical caught on tape ghost stuff, while being extremely minimalistic with regards to what goes on and what is actually shown. A lot of the spooky ghosty stuff is very small, things like turning on faucets and opening doors, and rarely goes beyond that. Something about being extremely delicate with its ghosty-ness makes it much more interesting and effective at sustaining long, drawn-out moments of anxious tension far better than a cheap jump scare would ever manage.

Its ok

As horror goes it's pretty minimal.Using a very active imagination I scanned every scene looking for that ghost. It wont be everyone's cup of tea but watch it alone,at night with lights out and yea it does have its moments. The best lost film footage is definitely hell house llc which I cant praise enough.

Definitely not worth the watch.

Even though its only an hour long, it was super drawn out and longwinded, it's a really long time building up and had no pay off. Acting was awful, the script was poorly written, the spooks and scares were complete misses.

Such an obvious vanity project that ended with a flop instead of a bang.

I'm a big horror fan, I've seen my fair share of found footage/documentary style movies, but this was like paranormal activity on a quarter of the budget and and missing the latter half of the movie.

The low marks on this are criminal!

This is the best of the fake/real ghost documentaries and it's not even close. It is done so well that it seems almost real. It's so low key and lacks the unrealistic jump scares of most every other fake/real ghost Doc's that have been puked out by every idiot with a cell phone. In every movie but more so the dozens of ghost hunting tv shows it's starts with a bold statement that this could be what proves ghosts exist and followed by periodic excitement when a chair moves and they pull out some electronic device that they say picks up ghost voices. And when they are done these people will claim this is real proof. This may use some of those tools but not once does anyone say that this is proof it's showed and there it is. You can't watch this and judge it as a horror movie you have to look at it as it could be real if you can't do that you won't enjoy it. But considering that is what you have to do with almost all horror movies that aren't based in on some real event and even those movies screw with the truth you should be able to do it for this.

A bit creepy

Gotta say that as I went to bed after watching The Blackwell Ghost that I heard noises and was generally very unsettled. I'm watching The Blackwell Ghost 2 but the interior of the house reminds me of the exact set up of Bad Ben. Anyone else notice?

Don't Trust the High Marks

This film is DULL. There are no scares. None. And the ending is exceedingly weak. I am suspicious that many of the reviews on here are fake. Watch at your own risk (of dozing off).

I like it

It took me a while to watch this one. Something about the poster made it seem cheap. Having said that, it's certainly not a big budget flick, but it has charm. It did succeed in actually creeping me out a few times and wanting to turn the lights on. Aside form the main guy seeming incredibly full of himself, I think he did a great job with this!

2nd half is interesting but falls way short in realistic category.

Too some low intelligence people that need to believe in this stuff, it might get them going. I am a believer and have watched almost everything out there. Still haven't seen a doc that sets up cameras to leave no doubt that what i am seeing is not manipulated by off screen gagets and stagehands. This one doesnt even try to get it right. Instead you are going to hear about equipment failure to justify no seeing whats going on around the pov. Interestingly enough, the ones that do come prepared to capture anything almost never do. Because they can't. This is very rare phenomena that cant be easily proven. Just enjoy the show and make a game of pointing out the gaps in the narrative. Was a decent try, but just watch this guys movies. Hes decent, but not great. This film reflects that. The main problem is none of us who would do this right ever will have the money or connections to try. Such is life.

I was stupid enough to believe it

I genuinely believed the description when it said it was authentic. I watched with my boyfriend and i told him i thought it was real and he had to convince me it was just a movie and i still wasnt convinced until i read all the reviews and now i feel like an idiot. That being said i think it was awesome. The acting was really organic and convincing it really did just seem like a guy investigating ghosts on his own. The way the movie is shot it feels very real and the story flows very well. I enjoyed this way more than obviously fake movies like paranormal activity. This was not obvious to me and very enjoyable.

Please kick the ball next time. And add some ghosts.

If you can sit through this non-event without fidgeting, complaining or going insane, then you must have the patience of a saint. Ever considered a career as a Buddhist monk? You should. Or a yoga instructor. Or you could teach anger management classes, helping the highly-strung to count to 10. Or 100. Or 10,000.

This one-hour "movie" (if we can call it that, and I tend to believe we can't) is possibly the most tedious found-in-sewage waste of time ever made. The positive reviews must be all from Buddhist monks and relatives of this Z-horror "film-maker".

This "movie" sets out to "find out whether ghosts are real." Rather than convince me they are real, the movie re-iterated my firm belief in the power of monotony. The power of tedium is a force to be reckoned with, something single-cell prisoners can all attest to. Ironically, they might be the only demographic that would enjoy this movie. I mean, not enjoy it AFTER they leave prison (or just solitary confinement) but DURING their stay in a tiny, windowless prison cell, if someone handed them a TV set. Only someone locked up in a concrete box could find this even remotely interesting, dare I say exciting.

The most exciting moment is when the "film-maker" threatens to kick a ball. He never does though. Because he didn't want to ruin his perfect non-action track record.

That TBG has several sequels is fascinating. Perhaps in those films the writer/director set out to prove not that ghosts exist but that very bad, obscure, shoestring-budget movies can have sequels...

This utterly boring garbage could not have cost more than what... 500 bucks? Maybe I can make a horror film too. I could film lower parts of my body: that would scare most people.

I've seen 10-minute YouTube clips ABOUT movies that cost more than TBG. And look superior. And are far more interesting. But that goes without saying: anything is "far more interesting" than TBG, even the cardboard pizza boxes this "film-maker" used to pay his cast with. A cast of amateurs, of course.

Unemployable amateurs. Who look as bored as I felt. It is impossible to convey how long an hour can be, unless you check out TBG. Then you'll know.

Wtf is with the audip

Overall it's a pretty capturing film, however how they filmed the audio was irritating. The sound cuts out every few seconds making me think it was my tv until.i switched to a new movie and it didn't have any sound issues. If it wasn't for the subtitles I would have missed alot of words being said. It's severely irritating. The film is your basic found footage film, it was good, I like that type of film but gosh dang that sound quality irritated the eff out of me. It made it so hard to sit through the entire movie, I almost just changed the entire movie because of this. It's a short film so i decided to stick it out.

Repetitively saying that's creepy does not make a situation creepy.

I wish my brain would have played tricks on me while watching this. Unfortunately nothing is going on what could be described in my opinion as eerie, creepy, scary leave alone frightening or at least entertaining... at all. I'm embarrassed of myself watching it fully.

Spooky and short

I usually absolutely HATE found footage films, especially the kind that claim to be 'real'. And yet, this found footage film that claims to be real isn't just good, it's really good! I was mesmerized and terrified at all the parts the director intended me to be. It's impressive how much it does with very little. There's one big continuity mistake but whatever, deduct a point and not give it a perfect 10/10. Downright chilling at times. I do not scare easily, and this film had chills running all over my skin. Turner is charming, funny, and sells the scares believably. This guy is a master of a usually crap genre. The two follow up films are even better!!! So give this a chance, it's an hour of you're life and if you don't like it, so be it. But I legitimately believe that if you like this movie, you won't just like it, you'll love it! I did. Just rewatched it for third time after first seeing it last year and I'm still in love with it. Can't stop gushing about this movie. It demands and commands your attention!

Higher marks if you're looking for realism.

This series is rated extremely high for the found footage/mockumentary genre. I think that is based on realism rather than entertainment. This movie is definitely semi realistic and the last minute or two raised my heartrate. But I think anyone would be hard pressed to explain how this is an entertaining hour. I'm going to watch the others because I heard they get more interesting.
