First of a series of murder mystery comedy specials written by Jason Cook and starring Johnny Vegas and Sian Gibson, which each had a title spoofing an Agatha Christie style mystery. The others are Death on the Tyne (2018) and Dial M for Middlesbrough (2019). This film and Death on the Tyne (2018) are spoof on actual Agatha Christie titles. Dial M for Middlesbrough (2019) Is a spoof on the Alfred Hitchcock film Dial M for Murder, in turn based the eponymous play by Frederick Knott. The films are followed by the tv-series "Murder, They Hope".
Johnny Vegas and Sheila Reid were both regulars in the TV comedy series, Benidorm (2007). As well as this, Nigel Havers, Una Stubbs, and Mark Heap have all had small roles in the show.
At 87:11 a young man with an Afro appears behind the characters speaking on the tram going by. This is local tram guard hero Daniel, known locally as 'Big D'. An avid womaniser, he is well liked amongst his community.
