Hilariously awkward, with excellent chemistry from leads George McKay and Alexandra Roach. Was great seeing both these excellent actors in a flat out comedy.
You could tell everyone involved was having a lot of fun. I was laughing out loud through majority of the film. Many people should be able to find something to relate to - if you can't, then it's a sign you probably haven't been living enough.
The random housemate guy kind of stole the show for me - I laughed for 100% of his screen time (thanks Tom Bell!). A Guide to Second Date Sex felt incredibly "real". Not just with the awkward 'warts n' all' bedroom antics, but with the lack of soundtrack and real-time unfolding of events.
Despite its short duration, there was also room for McKay and Roach to briefly showcase their considerable dramatic acting chops. All in all, this was fun for what it was and more people should give it a go!

I enjoyed this movie, although it was a bit tedious, especially in the beginning. There were some humorous sections depicting the awkwardness of a beginning relationship. The ending is humorous and shows some of the quirks of interpersonal relationships. The last 15 minutes or so made up for the slow beginning, as the last part was really very good. Not a sexy movie (sex is discussed much, but no bare parts shown), but more of a movie about relationships between single adults. Parts of it were funny, and the movie left me feeling good about the whole thing and I was glad I watched it. RECOMMENDED.
Watched this not expecting much, but i was really pleasantly surprised.
Laura and Ryan meet at a nightclub, and after an awkward exchange at the bar, we then jump to their second date. They both receive different, but equally terrible advice from their friends about how to seduce each other...
The two main characters, played by Mackay and Roach, are such likeable characters, i found myself willing them on, and cringeing every time there was a false start for them. They both play the awkwardness so well, nd with the fringe characters (especially Tom Bell's Adam, a housemate whom both Ryan and his other housemate Dan have never learned the name of), providing additional laughs, this is a great comedy.
Undoubtedly cringeworth in places, but without malice, i found myself rooting for them, even with everything else that gets thrown their way on this one night, interspersed with flashbacks to their first drunken encounter.
All in all, this is a good comedy with solid performances all round, and a last minute twist that helps add a new element to the already tricky and clumsy night that Ryan and Laura have both experienced

I really enjoyed this. It's very much a short sketch but I laughed out loud and also found it very comforting in its own way, given so much of it was sadly relatable. Definitely worth about 90-100 mins of your day.
