Actor Chunky Panday’s wife, Bhavana Panday, has been enjoying newly found fame since Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives landed on-air. Bhavana, a fashion designer, does not come from the Hindi film industry and was a native of Delhi before she married Chunky Panday.

The duo got hitched in 1998, and before their wedding, Bhavana and Chunky had a grand engagement in Delhi. Several Bollywood celebrities attended the event. Seeing Bollywood stars at weddings those days, especially in Delhi, was uncommon. Therefore, the guests at Bhavana’s engagement were stunned when they saw A-listers like Salman Khan and Rekha at the bash.

In a recent conversation with Mid-Day, Bhavana Panday recalled that her sisters and other guests were so starstruck seeing Salman and Rekha in person, their reactions left her utterly embarrassed.

Mumbai, Aug 26 (Ians) Veteran Bollywood lyricist Dev Kohli, who penned memorable superhit songs like ‘Kabootar Jaa, Jaa, Jaa’, ‘Ye Kaali Kaali Aankhen’, ‘Dil Deewana, Bin Sajna Ke Maane Na’ and ‘Chalti Hai Kay Nau Se Bara’, passed away on Saturday morning after a prolonged illness, industry sources said.

He was 80 and breathed his last owing to age-related ailments at his Andheri home. His funeral shall be performed at 6 p.m. this evening at the Oshiwara Crematorium.

Kohli’s body shall be kept for people and his fans to pay their last respects at his home in Lokhandwala Complex this afternoon till 2 pm.

Born on November 2, 1942 in a Sikh family of Rawalpindi (now Pakistan), his family settled in Dehradun.

He studied at the Shri Guru Nanak Dev Guru Maharaja College there and when he was 22, came to Bombay (Mumbai) in 1964, searching for employment in the entertainment world.

New Delhi, May 7 (Ians) Popular rapper Dino James, who has participated in the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ Season 13, aspires to work with the host and filmmaker Rohit Shetty.

Asked if he would be making music based on his experience on the show once he’s out, Dino told Ians: “No, I think me and Rohit bhai (Rohit Shetty) will be making a movie, I guess. I am aiming for that… Will produce music… Would make music with Rohit bhai. I would like to scale up.”

Is Bollywood the next step for Dino, who has made hits such as rose to fame with his tracks ‘Girlfriend’, ‘Yaadein’, ‘Hancock’, ‘Maa’ and ‘Woh’ to name a few.

He said: “Wherever I am comfortable. Wherever Dino can be Dino James, I would want to do everything. We grew up watching Bollywood. Bollywood is in our blood. How can you ignore that? It is our life.

A source close to Ians confirmed the news about Dino being a part of the stunt-based reality show.

Dino will be seen competing with names such as Shiv Thakare, Soundouz Moufakir, Rohit Bose Roy, Nyra Bannerjee and Anjum Fakih to name a few.

Hosted by Rohit Shetty, the 13th season of the Colors show will be taking place in the picturesque locales of South Africa.

Dino comes from a humble Malayalam background. His father Jimmy James worked as an electrician. The rapper hails from a village in Madhya Pradesh. He rose to fame with his tracks ‘Girlfriend’, ‘Yaadein’, ‘Hancock’, ‘Maa’ and ‘Woh’, among others.

Talking to Ians about why he does not have a stage name, the 31-year-old rapper had the best reply.

"I thought I got a cool name already because Dino James can be a stage name but it’s my real name and it sounds cool. Also sounds like a rapper," he said.
