Poison

No pun intended - it apparently is what Veleno means. I didn't know either - and it is not (just) literal poison. It is something that is seeping through ... the cracks of sorts. If you are in the way of a criminal enterprise ... well you better be prepared for what is to come. But should you just give in? Especially when we are talking about the place you live and grew up in and all that.

Life can be hard and complicated - even more so, when you have to deal with stuff, people and organizations that want to take stuff from you. A movie that is quite harrowing, but also quite slow. If you can dig the slow pace ... then there is something here for you. Very well acted - a small movie, in a small, yet at least sometimes grand way.
