Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that several of its original series will be debuting new episodes on the streaming service in August, including the first season of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.” John Krasinski, who is red-hot following the success of his winter hit “A Quiet Place,” takes on the role of the CIA spy that has been played on the big screen by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine.

Likewise, there will be plenty of movies making their first appearances on Amazon Prime Video including the action comedy “Gringo,” which stars David Oyelowo as a businessman who unwittingly becomes involved with a Mexican drug cartel.

Unlike Netflix, Amazon does not disclose the shows and movies leaving the service in any given month. We’ve done some digging and unearthed a few titles that will be exiting Amazon Prime Video in the first week of August. News...

Trailer For Ron Perlman's Modern Day Western Comedy The Escape Of Prisoner 614
Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Saban Film's modern-day western offbeat comedy The Escape of Prisoner 614. The story centers on two small-town Sheriff's deputies played by Martin Starr and Jake McDorman who catch an escaped prisoner (George Sample III) that they believe was wrongly convicted. The movie also stars Ron Perlman as the sheriff, who is tracking them down to make sure the convict is taken in. This is the synopsis:

Ron Perlman is electrifying as a corrupt and cold-blooded sheriff in this contemporary western that delivers a double-barreled blast of action. After two deputy sheriffs lose their jobs because of poor arrest records, they purse an escaped convict to try and win back their badges. But nabbing the convict won't be half as dangerous as facing the ruthless sheriff who is tracking their every move.

The film comes from first-time director Zach Golden and it looks...

First Trailer for Comedy 'The Escape of Prisoner 614' with Ron Perlman
"What if he Is innocent?" Saban Films + Lionsgate have released the first official trailer for an indie offbeat comedy titled The Escape of Prisoner 614, from first-time director Zach Golden. The film is about two inept, small-town Sheriff's Deputies who catch an escaped prisoner that they believe was wrongly convicted. There's some fun trickery and twists in this, as far as I can tell, and it looks kooky but very funny and quite smart, to be honest. Ron Perlman stars as one of the sheriffs, with a cast including Martin Starr, Jake McDorman, and George Sample III as Prisoner 614. It reminds me a bit of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, but with a totally different feel. I'm digging the footage for this, will definitely toss it in my queue to watch. Here's the first trailer (+ poster) for Zach Golden's The Escape of Prisoner 614, direct from YouTube: Ron Perlman...
