The Dig is supposed to be an ad for a Sony camera, but with incredible cinematography and a great score it manages to be something more. Joseph Kosinski and Claudio Miranda's duo is something I can't get tired of. The lighting is incredible, very Fincher-like (Miranda has worked with him numerous times) and the camera movements create the interesting tone with the help of the score. Another very interesting thing is the unusual use of non-linear storytelling. This short is not the Oscar-winning type, but it is perfect at what it's aiming for.
