Defining Moments

Not very engaging

This film is a collection of clips of different storylines. There are ten chapters. The first chapter is moderately interesting, but the second chapter is already not very engaging. The film hours steadily downhill from then. The clips look jumbled up, lacking coherence. The characters don't make you care about them either. The jokes are not funny.

Absolut rubbish

So cliche filled, so superficial, so badly executed. Wow this sucks. I am sure the cast and director thought the dialog was clever and witty. It simply tries too hard. It does it achieve anything, except to annoy you and remind you of how many times the writers should have been fired. Done better a million times before.

Wow. Really Bad.

This movie isnt funny. It's really poorly written. It has the vibe of a Lifetime TV movie more than anyting else.

The charaters are thinly drawn and the acting is sub par.

The directing does not make for a compelling screening.

And then there is Burt. His last movie. Not sure what happened to his face or his voice, but thankfully he's barely in the film. It's an abomination and I'm sure he did it for the money because he had to know it was garbage.

Grossly underrated

IMBD gave this a 4.4 and others a zero but I disagree.

This is a movie about relationships, moving on, learning, and forgiving. If you're looking for Smokey and the Bandit, this isn't it. If you're looking for nonstop action, this isn't it. If you're looking for blood and guts horror, this isnt it.

This is a heart warming example of life and what it could be if we worked at it. Although there are some very funny moments it is not filled with nonstop physical humor.

The actors do a great job and for those liking movies about life's tender moments then this is worth a look. I personally enjoyed this movie and would recommend it.

dont get the bad reviews

I'm giving this a 10 to counteract the negative ratings - what kind of people post such rubbish reviews.

This isn't a laugh-out-loud comedy, or action comedy with CGI. It's a subtle movie about family, relationships and the normal ups and downs of every day life and the people we encounter along the way and how they affect out own lives. Each character has a story arc and the last section "the Epilogue" is very touching, particularly in the light of Burt Reynolds' performance as he is no longer with us. I have no idea if he knew it was his last nor how ill he was, but it was a fitting send-off.

Movies don't always have to be packed with action/gore/sex/loud comedy from start to end - a bit of reflection is good for the soul. It also had a fair amount of humour which made me smile.

I enjoyed it.

A Moving Film

Burt Reynolds. What a legend. Sad this was his last film, but at least he ended with a good one. The film touches on a lot of heavy topics, many of which are relatable/we all end up going through at some point in our lives. Well worth the watch.

I laughed, I cried

I quite enjoyed it. Being as im going through alot of similarities as a couple of the characters were, I really related to them.

Eric Peterson stole the show. His comedic timing had me in stitches.

All about LOVE and LIFE

I am really sorry for the ones who found this movie bad or not engaging. It means they do not have any clue about love and life. So intimate and so human... If you feel yourself as one of the puppets of this material, capitalist world, please do not dare to watch!
