There would be no The Vampire Diaries without its villains. The teen fantasy show did not center on just love stories, as it had some of the most complex and dynamic plotlines involving supernatural creatures. In fact, Tvd's conflicts and battles were undoubtedly more compelling than its romances were.
For the Mystic Falls gang to protect their precious town and themselves, there had to be bad guys who threatened their safety. While larger-than-life villains like Klaus Mikaelson, or Kai Parker stole the show with their evil yet charming ways, there were many others who went unnoticed. As a result, while some villains were integral in keeping up the conflict in The Vampire Diaries, they never got the spotlight that they so deserved.

With the new trailer for "Final Destination Bloodlines" proving there are plenty more fiendishly creative kills yet to come in the saga, fans are catching up on previous entries over on Max.
Inspired by what was originally an "X-Files" script, the "Final Destination" series has remained one of the most surprisingly enduring horror franchises of the last couple decades. The first movie debuted all the way back in 2000, introducing the simple premise of a group of teens who survive a horrific accident, only to be hounded by death at every turn until the cosmic balance is restored in violent fashion. Since then we've had four more films, alongside ten novels and two comic books — not bad a for a series that doesn't have a recognizable slasher figure at its center.
That said, you can't get a more imposing villain than death itself, which is surely part of the reason the...

It's been nothing but good news for Final Destination fans lately. Not only has the long-awaited sequel, Final Destination: Bloodlines, been in the news this week thanks to the recently released teaser that has everyone pumped, but to top it all off, the entire series was recently added to streaming, and has been dominating the Top 10 charts ever since.
Per Max, the Final Destination franchise has taken over its Top 10 movie chart at the time of this writing, with the original 2000 classic sitting at #4, Final Destination 2 at #6, Final Destination 3 at #9, and Final Destination 5 at #10. Absent is 2009's The Final Destination (a.k.a. Final Destination 4), but we're sure that it'll eventually make its way there as the week progresses. It's no surprise, really, as after 14 years of radio silence, horror fans are eager to either watch the series for the first time, or just indulge in...

Warner Bros. took an interesting approach to the first teaser trailer for Final Destination Bloodlines, releasing a death sequence that effectively reminds us what the Final Destination franchise is all about. It’s been 14 years since the most recent installment, after all, making it a smart choice to usher us back into this world with some classic Final Destination mayhem.
One thing Warner Bros. confirmed for the very first time this week is that the late horror legend Tony Todd, who passed away last November, has a role in Final Destination Bloodlines.
Tony Todd played the enigmatic mortician William Bludworth in Final Destination, Final Destination 2, and Final Destination 5, and he’ll be back in this year’s brand new sequel.
It was recently rumored that Bloodlines would be diving into Bludworth’s backstory, including a flashback to his childhood, but we’ll have to wait a few months to find out.

Death sets one unsuspecting tattoo artist’s business (and body) ablaze in the fiery, gruesome first teaser trailer for “Final Destination Bloodlines.”
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, whose previous credits include 2018’s “Freaks” and the live-action “Kim Possible” movie, the new film comes 14 years after “Final Destination 5” hit theaters in 2011. It’s based on a screenplay by Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick (“Scream IV”) and will follow a new assortment of characters as they try to cheat Death and escape the grisly, cartoonishly constructed ends that await them.
The film’s first trailer is a simple return to form for the “Final Destination” franchise. Across its succinct two minutes, the spot follows a tattooist (Richard Harmon) grieving his father’s recent passing who ends up caught literally in a quickly escalating trap set in motion by Death itself. The results are predictably brutal and horrifying.
Check out the teaser below.

Death Is Back And The Kills Are As Gnarly As Ever In First Trailer For Final Destination: Bloodlines
Horror reboots are all the rage these days. Scream, Scary Movie, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Saw — you name it, there's a decent chance someone's out there with red string and pins figuring out a fiendish way to bring it back. With that being said, the latest addition to the growing reboot canon is New Line Cinema's Final Destination: Bloodlines, the first new entry in what remains the only major franchise that can proudly boast Death itself as its antagonist since Final Destination 5 some 14 years ago. And if the gnarly first trailer for Freaks directors Adam B. Stein & Zach Lipovsky's upcoming movie is anything to go by, then we may be in for the Grim Reaper's gnarliest killing spree yet. If you have any piercings, proceed with caution:
Over the years, the Final Destination franchise has given us a slew of memorable fatalities. Death...

The "Final Destination" franchise has proven to be one of the most consistent horror properties around thanks to its highly malleable yet tightly constructed concept (which easily lends itself to sequels that only build upon what came before). Even the "worst" of the "Final Destination" movies is still wild-as-hell and offers hugely entertaining kills, while the best ones have burnt themselves into our collective minds and forever made people switch lanes when driving behind logging trucks. After all, the "Final Destination" franchise is not about a supernatural dream killer or a masked murderer; it's about death itself and ordinary scenarios going very, very deadly wrong.
For whatever reason, it's now been over a decade since the last time we got a "Final Destination" movie — though, honestly, that one just ended so perfectly it would have been fine to leave it there. Fortunately, our long wait is over, because "Final Destination Bloodlines" is almost upon us.

The Final Destination movie series is among the latest to get a reboot, and the upcoming sixth movie can finally explain the franchise’s biggest mystery thanks to one important change. Back in 2000, the horror genre was going through a peak in slasher stories, and Final Destination arrived to add extra chaos to this branch. Directed by James Wong, Final Destination introduces the audience to Alex Browning (Devon Sawa), who has a vivid vision of the plane he’s boarding exploding. Alex, a teacher, and some of his friends and classmates leave the plane, which minutes later explodes just like in his vision.
Because Alex and the rest cheated Death, they begin to die in bizarre circumstances, one by one in the order they were meant to die on the plane. The success of Final Destination led to a franchise with a total of five movies and a sixth one in development,...

Tracker has experienced much success in 2024, but its most-watched episode in its two seasons may surprise fans. The CBS action drama TV series, created by Ben H. The horror genre keeps riding the wave of legacy sequels and reboots, through which some of the biggest franchises have been brought back to life – so it’s not that surprising that two unlikely horror franchises are returning, too. The film industry has greatly benefited from reboots and legacy sequels in recent years, mostly in the horror genre, even if not all of these have succeeded. Franchises like The Exorcist and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre returned with one movie that didn’t perform well, while others like Friday the 13th continue to face many challenges that stop them from coming back.
Other horror franchises have greatly benefited from this trend, as happened with Halloween and Scream, while others will be getting a new chance, as is the case for The Exorcist. All these franchises are some of the most successful, popular, and profitable ones in the genre, so it was...

Supernatural has some of the best world-building in the urban fantasy genre, with fans enjoying its rich lore for over fifteen seasons. While a part of the show’s appeal comes from the bond between the main characters, it also successfully expanded beyond the original premise to introduce other characters and plot points that could support a spin-off series.

The CBS drama entered its second season as one of the most popular shows on television. The momentum from a solid but not flawless Tracker Season 1 has carried over, making the series among the most watched on television.
But what has the product been like? Has it improved upon its first year? Or has it fallen into the familiar television sophomore slump?
( Sergei Bachlakov/CBS)
At the midseason point of the season, Tracker has only gotten better.
That’s not to say the show has been perfect. Still, they’ve upped the ante in many regards, giving Colter a storyline outside of the Shaw Family drama.
They’ve delivered on the cases of the week while continuing to center the best part of the series: Colter connecting with people and saving the day.

Death is back as the ultimate inescapable antagonist in Final Destination: Bloodlines, and the franchise's next installment will shake up the formula. Final Destination started life as a spec script for an episode of The X-Files by Jeffrey Reddick, under the title “Flight 180.” 2000's Final Destination proved to be a surprise smash hit thanks to its simple but ingenious premise, the creativity of its deaths, and refraining from showing Death as a flesh and blood killer but instead depicting it as an unstoppable force of nature.
Several sequels later, 2011's Final Destination 5 received surprisingly strong reviews for regaining the sense of fun inherent to the series. While the Final Destination series has been dormant for a while, it was always a solid earner for New Line both theatrically and on home media, with the five films collectively grossing hundreds of millions worldwide. Despite this, it seemed that the...

Eric Kripke’s mastery has become well-recognized in the industry through The Boys. The creator famously helped shape the series into what it is today, even bringing out two spin-off shows that worked excellently well. It would seem, however, that this level of success does not come without some failure.

Kripke was also the creator of the beloved series, Supernatural, having been involved in some way or another throughout its fifteen seasons. During this time, he also tried to release spin-offs with this series. However, they did not get the same regard as Diabolical and Gen V.
In fact, the first spin-off to be introduced in the Jensen Ackles series ended up turning into the lowest-rated episode from the entire series.

Final Destination: Bloodlines finally has a release date! Warner Bros. has dated the film for May 16, 2025, after years of back-and-forth during the development process. By the time the sixth film in the franchise is released in theaters, it will have been 14 years since we last saw a Final Destination movie.
The last film in the series, Final Destination 5, was released in August 2011. Final Destination 5 was better received than the fourth entry, with some people feeling it was one of the best in the franchise. Plans for a sixth film were made shortly after, but things hit a development snag amid the Covid-19 pandemic. After that, it seemed like Warner Bros. wasn't entirely sure what to do with the franchise. At one point, it was going to be distributed by its Max streaming service.

It’s been more than a decade since horror fans were treated to a Final Destination film on the big screen, but thankfully, the wait is almost over as Final Destination: Bloodlines has finally set its 2025 release date. This will be the sixth entry in the beloved franchise that began in 2000 with the groundbreaking original that was lauded for its unique premise, suspense, and brutal kills.
Per Variety, Final Destination: Bloodlines will hit theaters on May 16, 2025, a slot that was previously occupied by the J.J. Abrams-produced sci-fi film Flowervale Street, which has been delayed until 2026. According to Warner Bros., the month of May has fared much better for genre franchises, which is why they decided to make the switch, paving the way for Final Destination 6 to slide in there.

Last year, Final Destination 6 (which is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines) finally, after years of development and a thirteen year gap between sequels, made its way through production. Franchise producer Craig Perry previously let it be known that the film was aiming for a theatrical release in 2025 – in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film. It will even be on IMAX screens! Now, Deadline has confirmed that Final Destination: Bloodlines is set to reach theatres on May 16, 2025. As of right now, it’s the only major studio film scheduled to get a wide theatrical release on that date.
This long-awaited sequel is coming our way from Warner Bros. The studio also announced that they’ll be bringing Legendary Entertainment’s live action hybrid road movie Animal Friends to theatres on October 10, 2025. Unfortunately, Final Destination: Bloodlines could only secure its May release date because Warner Bros.

Despite not being a hit among critics, the first Final Destination outing proved to be a major box-office draw, which spawned four more sequels. With the sixth installment slated to hit the silver screen next year, which will be helmed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, fans are still on the fence regarding the mystery surrounding horror icon Tony Todd’s William Bludworth.

The Vampire Diaries graced screens at a time when vampires were becoming popular again, and it managed to hit the sweet spot. It had alluring vampires, a relatable female lead, riveting romances, and fantastical creatures who keep fans hooked. The show revolved around Elena Gilbert, a young teen in Mystic Falls who discovered the existence of vampires while coping with the loss of her parents. The entry of the mysterious Stefan Salvatore changed her life forever, as they fell deeply in love with each other, while trying to fight off numerous villains who want to destroy their town and Elena, both.
Stefan was not the only Salvatore in town, however. Soon after he arrived in Mystic Falls, his elder brother, Damon, also made his way to him. Damon was the opposite of Stefan: arrogant, cruel, and flippant about human life. Damon enjoyed being a big, bad vampire, and he made...

Damon and Elena have the most epic romance in The Vampire Diaries, and it is fun to revisit when Damon and Elena first get together and fall in love in the fantasy series. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) were drawn together throughout the series, and the high school student soon found herself in a love triangle with both Damon and his brother Stefan (Paul Wesley). Ultimately, Damon won Elena's heart and emerged from the series finale as her eternal suitor. Elena's romance with Damon was the focal point of many significant episodes in the series.
This started with their first kiss but included other significant moments. Considering the epic nature of Elena's relationship with Damon, it is next to impossible to narrow down all of their iconic and important moments. The first kiss is only part of their long-term storyline on the popular vampire TV series. While their...

With nearly five years gone since its last installment, writer S.S. Wilson reveals the Tremors franchise may be returning very soon. Wilson co-wrote the 1990 cult classic horror movie led by Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward with Brent Maddock and director Ron Underwood, and remained creatively involved through the first three follow-ups, including helming the 1996 sequel and 2004 prequel. In the years since, the Tremors franchise has included three further sequels, as well as a short-lived TV spinoff and scrapped TV show featuring Bacon's return.
Now, during a recent appearance at the 2nd Annual Tremors Fest in New Mexico (via JoBlo), Wilson revealed that he, Maddock and Underwood have reacquired the rights to their original Tremors screenplay. In turn, he confirmed that he and Stampede Entertainment were looking to bring the franchise back, albeit with a major deviation due to not having the rights to every film after the original. Warning! Spoilers for Green Arrow 2024 Annual #1!One of DC Comics' best forgotten 1990s events has returned, suggesting the possibility of a brand-new sequel. While Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman and George Prez is constantly referenced in continuity, not many fans - or characters, for that matter - remember major events like Zero Hour or Bloodlines - which is a shame, considering DC seems to have hinted at a sequel for the latter.
DC hints at a surprising Bloodlines sequel in Green Arrow 2024 Annual #1 by Joshua Williamson and Sean Izaakse - which is no surprise, given how crucial Oliver Queen has been in many DC events, including the recent Absolute Power by Mark Waid and Dan Mora. While talking to the children he's babysitting, Green Arrow tells them of the major events he's been part of, many of which are set in the future and haven't been shown in...

Based on Tracker season 2, episode 3, "Bloodlines," Justin Hartley is a man of many talents, one of them apparently being baseball. Hartley executive produces and stars as Colter Shaw in the action drama TV series, created by Ben H. Winters and adapted from Jeffery Deaver's 2019 book The Never Game. CBS's hit show Tracker revolves around Colter, a survivalist and expert tracker (as the show's title suggests). The protagonist utilizes his impressive set of skills to aid law enforcement and private citizens across the country in exchange for reward money.
Justin Hartley's favorite baseball teams are the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Colter's job requires him to wear many hats as finding people, animals, and other things isn't exactly easy, and Hartley's character has to be adaptable. By the end of Tracker season 1, it was clear to viewers that Colter was quite talented. However, he continues to surprise...

We live in an era where film studios are scared to produce original content due to perceived risk. With marketing budgets ballooning, and with new content being thrown at viewers at a rampant pace, cutting through the noise has never been more important. So the question is always: what horror movie will be franchised next? And the easy answer tends to be the latest horror success. Terrifier (despite what its creator claims) will surely go on for many more entries as it’s hard to cut off that supply of money while the fans demand it. And I suppose the argument could be made that Paramount already made the decision to franchise Smile after the first. We did get a second entry after all. But as someone from a bygone era, I’m...
