During The Late Show days that featured David Letterman behind the desk, Jerry Seinfeld was a regular. The comedian himself admitted being a part of The Late Show was a big deal back then. However, since Stephen Colbert took over, Jerry's appearances have been few and far between.

In fact, his last interview years ago could not have gone any worse. Seinfeld's thoughts on Bill Cosby caused a stir among the audience, and Colbert himself was taken aback by the comments. Seinfeld hasn't returned since, and even shaded the late night host during a recent podcast interview.

As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.

However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

Jerry Seinfeld is certainly thankful for his Emmy Award-winning NBC sitcom, but these days, the 63-year-old comedian is focusing on new endeavors, particularly his new Netflix stand-up special, Jerry Before Seinfeld.

With comedy shows like Will & Grace and Rosanne gearing up for revivals, Et's Nischelle Turner recently caught up with Seinfeld to chat about the possibility of bring his sitcom back.

"Why?" Seinfeld asked. "Maybe it's nice that you continue to love it instead of us tampering with something that went pretty well."

Jerry Seinfeld is in a safe space — too safe critics complain. “Jerry Before Seinfeld” hit the Netflix stage on Tuesday, and the reviews are mixed. Seinfeld already gave audiences an intimate portrait of his life in the 2002 documentary “Comedian,” which followed him getting back into stand-up following the conclusion of his sitcom. So people who were hoping for something more personal and telling from “Jerry Before Seinfeld” may be disappointed.
