This is the kind of movie that would win a reward in a film festival. Imagine a calm beginning... the end of our world. Perhaps only a few human beings still alive on each continent on our beautiful planet Earth.
Such is the scene beginning of this movie, giving you an eerie fear in the back of your mind, of primal instinct when you heart begins beating just a little bit faster...
Welcome to The Cage, a story where you are always guessing why the alien/AI enemy has allowed a few humans to remain on earth. The answer... will be given over the course of the story.
The reason why this story is so much a real life theory of what could come to be in the next 100 years of our real world, is the integration of AI to a new sophisticated lifeform. Perhaps we will all become something half AI / half human, in our future. Who knows? But it seems realistic to me.

Can't understand how this got a 7.1 rating. Captions in English are cut off, nothing makes sense or is explained. Aliens are never seen, the why is never revealed on all questions, and this won awards? How is this possible? I feel like I just wasted my time on this movie. Please don't waste yours. I would not recommend to my enemy, much less my friends.
I was not expecting a lot of this movie, and what I got was even less. The 82 minutes could have been reduced easily to about 30 minutes and even then it would not meet the expectation of an entertaining time. A kinda love story with some alien on the sky. The special effects where the best about this movie, but other than that, I'm very sorry to say that there was nothing else positive in a way for me worth of mentioning it.
Seeing the 7 star rating and reading a short synopsis of this flick intrigued me enough to sit and spend 80mins watching it.
Boy what a complete let down. To start, the subtitles are no at all accurate, the acting (for the most part) seemed either rushed or overly dramatic.
The movies natural progression in pulling the audience into the story was non-existent to say the least. Any questions that the viewers have, go unanswered. It feels like there was more attention paid to the CGI (which isn't bad) than in any attempt at some sort of a backstory of the (never seen) ET's.
Overall the movie was quite disappointing and left me feeling that I had completely wasted my time watching it.
YMMV.

The exotic locales and focus on interpersonal dynamics give the movie a dramatic tension that is very appealing. Beautiful cinematography worthy of a nature documentary works throughout the film. I enjoyed the fact the characters were fully flushed out and not just 2 dimensions as is the case in so many movies of this genre. It's plot is somewhat esoteric even philosophical. There are sparks of genuine chemistry between the actors, who bring it all together well. The pace of the sequences give them time to develop their characters genuinely without a rushed feeling. The CGI is very good, but thankfully takes a backseat to the drama. This is an interesting movie with memorable moments. AAA!!!
