Lie

LIE is a silly thriller which Hanu used as a tool for visiting his favorite places in Vegas.

LIE (2017): Hanu Raghavapudi evoked interest on his new film LIE with acronym Love.Intelligence.Enmity. Hanu's previous film is Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gaadha which is entertaining at its best. When the teaser of LIE released,it raised hopes as it has qualities of a stylish thriller. So how is LIE? Plot: The entire police force of India is in search of a dreaded criminal called Padmanabhan(Arjun) who has now settled in the US. On the other hand, Satyam(Nithin) is a road side Romeo from the old city who is looking for some quick money. An unexpected twist involving the heroine(Megha Akash) lands Satyam in the US.There, he suddenly crosses his path with Padmanabhan and things change upside down for him. What will he do now? Who is this Padmanabhan? and why did Satyam cross paths with him in the actual place?. To know the answers you need to watch the film on the big screen.

My Review: What the heck Hanu was thinking while making this film!!!!!!!!??? LIE is one of the major disappointments of the year where a decent idea which could have been a stylish thriller is entirely spoiled by its uneven narration and senseless screenplay. The entire plot revolves around a "Suit".No. I am not kidding. Almost till the end, it is about who gets the suit.To be frank, this silly idea could have been lot better if screenplay is racy.LIE has lot of useless scenes which made us lose interest in main concept too.

1.Love- Love track is outright silly with not even a single interesting scene. It is totally useless in this movie and the narration where Narad and Indra driving their love story is still a mystery. This makes me question – what were the filmmakers smoking? There are many forced tracks in the film. The way comedian Madhu comes into the plot, heroine going to the US with Nithin, all these plots look silly and over the top.The entire love track including the song placement is terrible throughout. In the end, no one cares about it.The worst part is Megha Akash's dumb acting.

2.Intelligence- When our antagonist is a magician and a mimicry artist who has lot of prosthetic material in his home,he tries a lot of disguises and this has to be considered as intelligence. He just changes his disguises and cheats our hero and others. We have seen lot of Hollywood films like this, but here Hanu thought he was giving an unique experience.Even the villain repeats his own tactics which means that he is out of fuel and the so-called twists are so predictable.

3.Enmity: Of all the messy uninteresting games we get a twist at the end which totally spoiled the film. All the investigative thriller suddenly changes into personal revenge drama.Ufffffffffff.....

The only striking points of the movie are Manisharma's terrific BGM,rich production values and Arjun's performance.

So,LIE is a silly thriller which Hanu used as a tool for visiting his favorite places in Vegas.

A good watch

LIE is a good movie that's worth giving a try. The cast did their job really well, especially Arjun Sarja and Nithiin. Though the story was a bit predictable, it was still a good one. I'd recommend giving it a watch. 7/10 Stars.

Nah!

Silly movie. Bad story and avoid watching it. Even I could've guessed who's the villain from the beginning and it's very obvious at several places of the movie. Very dumb indeed.
